You know, I never understood why people made such a big deal about Miles signing or not signing his new contract extension. These coaches always leave contracts unfulfilled when they bolt to another school, and the new school has to pay the buyout. With that in mind, Miles contract extension being signed or not wouldn't prevent him from bolting any more than the original contract did. So, what does it matter? Maybe it could be a statement that he's staying and he's signing a new extenstion to drive the point home...however, from a reality standpoint, it changes nothing. Should he decide to leave for UM, it's still the same process and it could happen just as easily. The only significant thing in the contract to me was that the buyout clause remained the same. I would have expected it to go up.

December 7, 200718 yr Brady Hoke, Ball State. Michigan guy ... was an assistant to Lloyd Carr for 7 seasons and has turned Ball State completely around. And he's interested in the job, too. (I've been beating this drum for four days now.)

December 10, 200718 yr From what I can tell is that Michigan does not want to pay top dollar for a top coach, in other words they are "cheap" :eek:. IMO that is the main reason why there have been some good coaches reported to have turned them down. (I still am not convinced that Miles is out of the picture though). The Michigan tradition and facilities do not buy any more groceries......show them the Money$$$ :lol: As a Buckeye fan, please Michigan .................please bring back 6 loss Lloyd!! (LOL)
