LSUROCK friends gathered last night

Featured Replies

I was privileged to be an attendee at the gathering of LSUROCK's friends and family last night at a St. Matthews Pub. 3 1/2 hours of remembering LSUROCK and how much he loved Trinity High and Louisiana State University. Yesterday would have been Dave's 50th birthday and his family felt it would be an appropriate time to share some thoughts and stories. His family recognized how much he enjoyed his time on BluegrassPreps.com. He was one of a kind. He was the most passionate non-Trinity alumnus who supported the Shamrocks I have ever known. Many of his family members are active on this website. Believe me, his immediate family keeps tabs on what's being stated here and continues to enjoy and participate in the spirited debates. :thumb:

Both on BGP and at Trinity games, LSURock is missed.

AMEN. His spirit and good natured (sometime) adversarial banter is sorely missed. Although some may try to replicate him - as you all know he was the genuine article - and "one of a kind." He is terribly missed. I am glad and thankful he was my friend.

My prayers are with his family. He sure is missed on here as well!

It is wonderful that the family celebrated Dave's life on the anniversary of what would have been his 50th birthday.

I know in the short time I communicated with Dave, I realized what a great and passionate life he lead.

He is missed by all of us!

I met him accidently at the St.X-LexCath game here in Louisville back in 2004 while chatting with The Guru.

Needless to say I always enjoyed my subsequent conversations with him at the Trinity games I ran into him at(which was most of them).

I remember that. When you finally walked away and quit bugging us, LSU commented to me that he pictured you being much shorter.

I also miss our Bama/LSU rants, and I think about him when I see a Rock post and wished I could have met him in person.

Bugging?!? :irked:

Shorter? Wonder why.

UK's win over LSU would have been much sweeter if we would have been able to tease LSURock about it.

Well you know he really would have been p.o'ed after Last Friday night and then he really would have taken it out on poor HC....:ylsuper:

Dave and I always knew who each other were, and we shared some good times, one of my favorites was at last year's Henry Clay game.

I miss razzing him all the time and his return banter often got my blood moving. I second the UK/LSU reason also.

I didn't know him and I'm new to the board, but I just now realize that he is in the Trinity vs St X program (In memory) I was looking at last night. He sound like he was a great man, and fan.
