Very emotion night at St. Pat Tuesday night. Phillip last night at the mic after covering for the St. Pat for many years. I pretty sure he has been at the mic for around 17 years. I heard his final words after the game Tues and even I was a little teary eyed. Don't know him personally but have listened to his broadcast for many years seems like a great guy. I want all best wishes to Phillip and hopefully his new jobs works for him great. Thanks again for the many great years.

Probably one of the best all around sports guys in the business. Very knowledgeable and very much a great person. Never says an unkind work to anyone and always has great things to say about teams and players. He will def be missed. Hope he does well in his next endeavors! What a class act- feel sorry for the guy who has to follow him!

It was a very difficult decision for me to step away. It has been one great ride for me. The relationships that I have made with coaches, players, support staff and fans will stay with me the rest of my life. Not to mention my fellow members of the media that have been great friends. People like Danny Weddle, Dickie Martin & Dan Manley.

 

I will still be around just not behind the mic.

While not from the MC area, I have been able to pick up a few of the Phillip Hay broadcasts online and while driving through the area. You do a great job, and it was a pleasure meeting you the times our paths crossed. :thumb:
