December 2, 200718 yr I hope it was a girl. Otherwise I would watch out with dudes calling you habib. Though I suppose it would be worse if he called you habibi. No, he meant to assign me a random Middle Eastern name. He didn't speak Arabic.
December 2, 200718 yr I am an X grad and a ROCK dad! If anybody needed help with that, your school let you down.
December 3, 200718 yr As I am a father of 2 LCA boys, I wanted a username that would be the antithesis of LCA, in order to "hide my identity". Bluto was a character that represented my mis-spent, pre-Christian days.
December 3, 200718 yr I am an X grad and a ROCK dad! If anybody needed help with that, your school let you down. I'm sure there is a great story in there.
December 3, 200718 yr My user name comes from an old high school nickname, Professor. Why I was labled with that name I have no clue. Then, when I became a teacher the kids started calling me Doc, in the early '80s. Well, now I have two nicknames, Professor by people my own age, and Doc by my former students. I answer to both. You forgot???? Does that proves your becoming senile, Professor!!!! As I recall, from carrying the satchels like the "nutty professor"!!!! :fire:
December 3, 200718 yr I wanted Socrates, but it was already taken - thus... Plato - we throw down some serious philosophy on here.
December 3, 200718 yr Whomever requested his appearance, here ya go. I'm sure the Captain is great, but Mr. Obvious on the Bob and Tom radio show really cracked me up. I haven't heard him in a while... Donny Baker took over...
December 3, 200718 yr A Lexington tv station referred to Danville as Titletown when Danville and Boyle County (located in Danville) both won state titles in 2000. Just used Clown because it rhymed. To the bold - I believe it's the other way around :jump::lol::lol::lol::jump:
September 25, 200817 yr Since we have the thread about best BGP name, someone requested wanting to hear where these names come from. To any new people, feel free to pitch in. :thumb:
September 26, 200817 yr Years back, after research, we determined Jesse James was in my family tree so that was what I made my email address. When signing up on BGP, I didnt give it much thought and used my email that I have used for years!

September 26, 200817 yr To the bold - I believe it's the other way around :jump::lol::lol::lol::jump: Wow after 9 months, I saw your post. By saying Boyle County being in Danville, I meant that Boyle County High School is in the Danville city limits.
September 26, 200817 yr We have had a couple of these threads before and it doesn't get old hearing about how people choose their names. Always fun to hear. I grew up a military brat and moved A LOT and even when I started living on my own, I still keep moving rather frequently. So I sometimes do feel "homeless" and the thought of a camel wandering around the desert with a knapsack over his shoulder is very amusing to me, hence "camel". I believe I have changed my avatar 212 times since I joined in January, right now it's a picture of me when I was 7 or 8, something like that. I change it too frequently. ALTHOUGH speaking of avatars, I do remember when HT "lost" his Jordan avatar and was in a state of mourning for a few days before I found that same picture for him. It's funny how you identify one poster with one picture. shamrock fan comes from a softball team. I was in a hurry when I signed up. Your avatar is still the Monica Bellucci picture. It creeped me out when you first got it, but I don't pay attention to it anymore.
