I agree, I actually do not know a whole lot about him other than he has been very succuessfull at the D2 level. I think he was Kelly's Def. coordinator at GVS. before taking over after Kelly went to CMU and cleaned up Debord's mess. Whoever is lucky enough to get the job at UM needs to fire him as their first action as head coach.

November 26, 200718 yr Author Ferentz seems to be loved by the coaching community and the NFL people are as well. What is there not to dislike there? With Miles, there as to be some concern that he has had the best talent in the SEC in back to back years and will not be playing for the national title each year. From some things I have read, Lloyd Carr has some pull and is well-thought of by the administration in Ann Arbor. Sounds as if UM really wants a new coach, they want it sooner rather than wait.

November 26, 200718 yr Why is Ferentz so very bad, and Miles so very good. I really can see the Kelly argument, but Miles didn't impress me at OSU, and has under-achieved at LSU, IMO this year...he has lost two, and should've lost 2 more....Ferentz may just be coach of the year, at MIZZOU!!!!!!
