November 26, 200718 yr Why is Ferentz so very bad, and Miles so very good. I really can see the Kelly argument, but Miles didn't impress me at OSU, and has under-achieved at LSU, IMO this year...he has lost two, and should've lost 2 more....Ferentz may just be coach of the year, at MIZZOU!!!!!!??????????????????????????????????? He coaches at Iowa and he is only 3 games above 500 fo his carrer.

Same can be said for Pelini. Is the Miles thing more of keeping it in the family ala North Carolina, or is it based on his coaching?
November 26, 200718 yr This hopefully is a cruel joke but I just saw where someone said that Ferentz has been offered and accepted the job. They said a press conference would be in 24-48 hrs. I am not saying this is true but I did see it. Please make me be wrong on this.

Ferentz inherited a doormat program at Iowa and built it into a winner although not much success this year. If Bo were still alive, is there any question as to who the next coach would be?
