The best team in Lexington is usually that little school on Clays Mill

 

Sorry but they did not do too well against Trinity this year either, down about 45 by Halftime in a scrimmage. LC is not better than HC or LHS..... I would love to see them play.

 

Also Lex football is not as good as Louisville PRIVATE school football, but the publics..... its all about the same....

Did HC do something to have Stein in late in the game throwing a TD pass?

For several reasons I didn't ask...I knew they wanted to let him break the record, he does need to prepare for 4 quarters in these last two games if needed and last but not least it was way to easy of a question to stir the pot. :lol::lol::lol:

Wow, this was a real shocker to me, with all that I read all year about Henry Clay having the best offensive line in the state,a four star wide receiver, a real good Q/b and they did have a great running back, he was awesome from what I have heard and read.

So with all that being said what the heck happened to Henry Clay Friday night? I heard that the Q/b really was not even looking for Boyd that much during the game, how do you not throw the ball to this kid 15-20 times a game?

Boyd had some big drops, including one in the end zone that he should have had no problem.

In the past six years we've beaten Male (defending 4A champs), St X, Boyle (Defending 3A Champs), Highlands, Covington Catholic, Bowling Green, etc. etc. etc. It's the only team in recent memory in Lexington to have a state title. The last, and only, time they played Henry Clay, guess who won? LC! Like you, I wish the publics in Fayette county would play us. That would settle this discussion and be a win-win for all Lexington schools.

Yes you beat Hc on a goalline stand. HC was beaten handily by everyone else in the city that year. I think they won 1 game that year. The road is paved for another title this year for you guys, not much comp... I think HC, LHS and PLD would all win your class this year.

I doubt it, but they should, since LexCath is 4A, not 6A. There is a reason for classes, you know?? Cath plays up to get ready...an example Fayette publics should follow.

 

RE: Game with Trinity. I was rooting for Henry Clay, since it's a Lexington school, but in my heart I knew what the outcome would be. Discipline and coaching usually win out.

Trinity vs. Dunbar 41-0 at the half.

 

Trinity vs. Lafayette 35-0 at the half in Lexington.

 

Trinity vs, Henry Clay 36-7 at the half.

In all honesty, i believe Lexington Catholic is the best team in Lexington this year. This thread, however, is about Henry Clay and Trinity. Lets get back to discussion about the game.

Why do you even bother to explain? Someone in the the X camp brings this up almost every week. I like to stir the pot myself on occasion, but this subject gets old after 8 years of watching Coach Beatty prepare his teams for December and not September.

Congrats to the ROCKS on a great win! As I stated earlier in the week that HC would in no way score 35 points on the Rocks defense, as the game played out, it would have been only 7 if we had the starting defense in the game during HC' 4th quarter score. IMHO, The glaring difference between these two teams comes down to preparation and dicipline... BIG Gap!! Also, what is it with the HC player pregame antics! I'm not going to name numbers, but I think anyone at the pregame knows what I'm talking about. Pretty silly to me!
