Didn't Hazard beat them by 20 three weeks ago?

 

LCA beat Raceland very bad (42-7) early in the season and won over Raceland on a last second FG 34-32 a week ago. Like HCT said, this is another season.

Man, LCA needs to work on that onside kick thing. Didn't it happen again to them.

Horrible showing by Pikeville.

 

What is wrong over there?

I don't know but it is about to get a whole lot worse. Pikeville has 14 seniors and I believe they only dressed about 26 players in all.

We look foward to coming to LCA. It is an honor to get to play Coach and his program at LCA. He is still a well respected man with many friends in Hazard. For those it is a pefect match up. If Hazard wins we go to the state finals for the first time ever, if not we have lost to a quality coach and program and we will cheer like crazy for LCA to win the State in hopes that Coach can pull out a victory.

 

Look foward to next Friday. I think it should be a great game of evenly matched teams. Take away the home field advantage of Hazard and the turnovers from LCA and this game is a toss up. Good luck LCA and may the best team win.

Congrats to LCA on the win and a regional championship! I said it earlier in the year and I will say it agan.... LCA is the Best Team that Raceland played this season (regardless of class).

How many games did you see this year? TV doesn't count because local high school coverages do not do the teams justice. I saw you against 2 of the teams on your schedule including LCA who I saw on more than one occassion this year. They are really good but they are not the best team you played and shouldn't be based on some of the teams you played.

I agree 100% oldrambler, thought this game would be a lot closer, like you said, about three points or something!!

I am for Hazard 100%, but I really like the LCA team a lot. Which ever team wins this game I will be behind them to win the 1A championship!! I played for Rains at Hazard and thought he was a great coach, so I pull for my dogs all the way, but if not I hope Coach Rains can win, he is deserving IMO!! Good luck to both teams!!!

LCA is the Best team Raceland has Played this year by all means, Best Line we have faced all year. I think they can win next week for sure. But this one will be close.

LCA is the team to beat in Class A IMO. Congrats to the Eagles who obviously used BLUTO power to make a statement tonight!

Congratulations to LCA, were are the doubters now? LCA and District 5 are good and we have been saying it since the preseason. People do not realize how good this district is and how good they are going to be. I have said it many times, this district is going to be a force to be reckoned with, it has always been good, but has normally lost to the eventual state champion early in the playoffs.

As far as I was concerned, there was no clear favorite in this game, although I would've picked Pikeville to win.

Pikeville has serious problems in the athletic department as a whole - basketball arguing with football, lack of players, rumors of their best underclassmen transferring, and everyone wants to blame everyone. If Pikeville does not match the success they had last year in basketball you might see a total melt down in the city school system..............
