Pikeville has serious problems in the athletic department as a whole - basketball arguing with football, lack of players, rumors of their best underclassmen transferring, and everyone wants to blame everyone. If Pikeville does not match the success they had last year in basketball you might see a total melt down in the city school system..............

 

I think the meltdown is coming from the football point of view. The athletic department as a whole is fine. The football numbers are way down and the style of play has really turned a lot of kids away. It seems that the kids just don't enjoy what is happening with the football program and this might explain why they only dressed around 26 players with 14 of them graduating.

Wow,, didn't expect this one. Seems as though Pikeville self-destructed in this one (6 Turnovers and a blocked punt), meanwhile LCA went on about their business and took the Panthers behind the woodshed.

IMO, Pikeville football is in for a rough couple of seasons.

Unfortunately (because he seems to be a standup/likeable guy) Mike Jackson does not seem to have the Pikeville program heading in the right direction.
