I guess hindsight is 20/20. I just thought there could have been points put on the board. Instead you go for a 1st down on 4 th and 6.

Thats how he has won a lot of games for the Red Devils in the past. Great mind Great coach.

Mabye he was thinking it would be better to try and go for it instead of taking a chance on the kick being blocked and taken back for a touchdown. I'm sure he had confidence in his defense to make the stop if they didn't get the first down. Sometimes things just don't work out. You have to give Breathitt County the credit.

I won't argue that point. He is a great coach. But even good coaches can make mistakes sometimes.

Breathitt don't have a great kicker but they had the ball twice inside the 10 yard line that would have been 2 chances at a field goal.

Now comes the dispare, Even with a 11 and 1 season.

Russell had a great year ater losing the kids they have the last 2 years.Very proud of them, exceeded my expectations coming into this year........HOLD YOUR HEAD HIGH DEVILS.......GREAT YEAR !!!!!

Agree if the Devils convert the 4th and 6 and stick it in the endzone, it would have sealed the deal. Coach McGlone may have wanted to go for the jugular! He also thought his defense wouldn't give up an 80 yard drive either. LCRW I think I'm actually agreeing with you. You could lose some friends on here if you agree back so I understand if you don't!

Russell had a great season and played a great game. They made 2 goal line stands to stay in this game. Not many people have held Breathitt's offense in check all season and to give them 1st and goal 2 different times and hold them out of the endzone is very impressive.

You don't have that many enemies do you?

Well I was at the game with some fellow Tomcat fans and it was a very good ball game. It seemed like Russell was running the same play over and over in the first half but in the 2nd they opened up the offense but they couldnt stop the fans. I believe now my feet are thawing out....

I'm not sure how many he's made, but he seems to have a strong leg.

Russell's Kicker is NOT that good. Above average at best, but will not step up to the next level. He is often inconsistent, but there is more to kicking a field goal in high school than the kicker themselves. It takes a good snap, good catch, good placement, good blocking, good footing, and then a GOOD kicker. Russell's kicker is above average and could have made a 30 yarder if things went right, but not a 50 yd.

Please, can everyone understand that it was not a kick from the 50 yard line that I was talking about. It was a 35 yard kick at the most. It wasn't the last drive, it was the drive that turned over on downs at the 22 yrd line.

:laugh: That's funny right there, I don't care who you are ....that's funny.
