November 21, 200718 yr Only problem though is the message it would send to the coaching world. It looked like a great job to have when Petrino was there, but Kragthorpe leaving after one year would not make it half as inviting in my opinion. :thumb: I agree...I think the mistake was not hiring Kragthorpe, but making him keep Petrino's assistants. Last year a potential coach saw a team with a Heisman caliber QB, lots of returning talent and an Orange Bowl winner...now, he's inheriting a 5-6 team, no Brohm, a fan base that could turn quickly if things go bad... Just a thought.
November 21, 200718 yr Fot what it's worth I felt that they should have made a run at Peterson at Boise State, but Jurich made the call and his track record really speaks for itself. I think Krag really does need to get at least 1 or 2 more seasons to prove himself.

I agree...One game earlier this year that they were on TV, they interviewed him going into the locker room at the half, when BSU had like 40 something points at that point. The reporter asked him what he thought about the first half and he said "We don't have enough points."

November 21, 200718 yr Jeff Brohm would absolutely not be a candidate for HC yet. And shouldn't be. The way 'meshing' Petrino leftovers and Krags staff went, I'm not sure he'd get a shot at OC, either.

I think Brian would have a little longer career than that. Jeff made 7 and the pension, I would venture that Brian could at least do that
