Heck, you guys are moving to fast. I'm still trying to answer a post from Take 1.

 

To TSfan20 concerning the cannon, I agree the debri would be cooled but they aren't concerned about the field but people standing under it.

 

I think it was mentioned in Take 2 about a possible shutout, I'm thinking that the defense is motivated to see if they could possibly do a three game shutout in the playoffs. I'm not familiar with Letcher and I am convinced they will come into the Fort ready to knock the Birds off thier perch. I just feel that the little extra motivation of the defense not being scored upon in the playoffs could possibly make this game another shutout. Many of the scores on here are predicting late in the game scoring by Letcher, however in the past two playoff games, Scott and Cov. Cath. , the 2nd team has not been scored upon.

 

Personnally a win if only by one point would be fine with me.

They wear helmets and pads! Is that really going to matter to those guys considering they are getting hammered by other MEN in pads? What on earth has this earth come to? Next thing you know we arent going to be able to hit QB's either...oh wait. :madman:

 

I have not seen LCC play, and honestly have only heard what has been posted on the first thread. I have to agree with Henry here...these boys are on a roll and would love nothing more than to post another goose egg for the opposition.

Let me say this from Letcher County. I am very close to the program. Birdsfan can tell you a little more about that at the game if he wants. The goal for our program this year was to go north and play you all. Highlands football is what we want our program to be like 20 years down the road. Everyone thought that next year was going to be the year we competed with the rest of the state but our Seniors have refused to believe that and they made it happen this year. We are proud of our kids no matter what happens Friday. In saying all this, we are still going to bring everything we have up against you guys Friday. Good luck to you guys! Your football program is a class act, and so are your fans! We look forward to our trip to Ft. Thomas Friday and may the best team win!

Nicely done and by the way...just like some others have stated, we respect everyone that comes to play the game. LCC might be young (depending on how you look at things) but you dont make it this far without doing something right! This is why Highlands will have to be driven to acheive thier goal of a State Championship this Friday. You can't listen to the predictions and look at the polls because Letcher is bringing their all this week and Highlands will have to be ready.

We hope you have a nice trip (well, not too nice if you know what I mean:D) and are treated well by our fans (which I'm sure you will). I think you'll enjoy our stadium. It provides a great place to watch the game as the bleachers are very close to the field. Home and visitors sit on the same side of the field, with the visitor's section (the right half of the bleachers as you look at the bleachers from the field) being just as good as the home fans seats. No off street parking, but drive around a little and you'll find on street parking. If you don't mind walking about a quarter of a mile, you can usually park behind the City Building which is just up the street. Looking forward to seeing LCC and thanks again for the compliments. Hopefully our team will live up to your expectations.

Highlands is a great place to play as a visiting player and fan. I'm sure LCC will be treated well and it will be a trip to remember. Good luck to the Cougars, represent the mountains well.
