November 11, 200718 yr Whatever shred of hope, whatever glimmer of sunlight might have been' at the end of the tunnel, all was lost for Notre Dame LAST week vs. Navy when Charlie Weiss lost his team by passing up on the field goal late in the game. Navy, Air Force, Duke and Stanford were supposed to be a part of Notre Dame's 'second season', full of promise of 'righting the ship'. If Weiss hadn't lost his team (and the confidence of his team in he and his coaching staff), he waved it off in the Navy game. Notre Dame is past being a train wreck. It's a three alarm fire at the paper mill.

November 11, 200718 yr As a lifelong college football fan, the state of this ND team is really amazing. I know that they are young and were over-ranked in the preseason, but SHEESH!!! Rockne must be spinning!!
