Boone County by 10, they have shored up their pass defense since the Ryle game. Ryle benefitted in the first game by the short and mid-range pass, they will have more trouble this time. Also, no one has yet to mention that a soccer playoff game was played the night before the first meeting on Ryle's field in a rainstorm. Ryle spent most of the day of the game trying to replace sod on the field. Boone will run all over them this time.

 

Checking the forecast for the week it looks like the field will be pretty wet this Friday night. It must be tough to have to count on perfect conditions to play well. I hope for a Ryle win but expect a hard fought game. Good luck to both teams and let the winning team bring home a state title to Northern Kentucky!!

Boone got knocked out of the playoffs last year by Campbell, never saw a team outside of Northern Kentucky. Ryle went to the State Final. So much for playoff experience.

this group of ryle seniors alone have experianced at least 7 some 8 playoff games how many have the rebel seniors this year had? With this game playoff experiance means nothing at all this 2 teams who know each other well and just plain refuse to lose to the other this game will come down to whoever makes the fewest mistakes and wants it more period. I think the kicking game will decide this one and Ryle's kicker is one of the best around.

If they played since they were Sophomores, the Boone Seniors have been in 6. If since they were freshmen it is 10.

Having had a birds' eye view of the last meeting, the game had a feeling of being far more one-sided than the OT would lead you to believe. I think Boone has seen Ryle's best, and this year, it isn't enough.

I think this is very accurate. I never got the feeling that Boone wasn't in control of the game.

 

KEYS FOR RYLE - Somebody, anybody besides Schmitz must contribute something to the offense. Offensive balance would also help the Raider cause tremendously. Defensively they are pretty solid, but need to focus on not giving up the big play. Boone has a pair of guys who can take it to the house on any given play.

 

KEYS FOR BOONE - Offensively the Rebels need to continue to give the ball to Mr. Reliable Corey Farris. I'd like to see the Rebels mix in some high percentage passes and some deep play-action to Doucette. Defensively the Rebels need to reevaluate their pass defense that led to the OT in the first game. Aside from that, get as many guys as you can playing the run.

 

For Ryle to win they will need a great offensive performance from someone not wearing #24. I haven't seen it all year, no reason to expect it now....

I, for one, hope that it is not a 2 TD spread. My prediction was just my assessment of how I thought the game would go. I think it's a one score game late and Boone tacks on a late TD from a Ryle turnover.

 

I agree about Ryle taking control of the game in the 4th. When the Raiders showed they could throw the ball the big mo shifted to their side. Imagine that.....

I agree with Boone hanging on for their dear lives, but if #24 would of picked the ball off that he let go through his hands Mo would have been back to the rebels. I know i was sweating anyone that graduated or goes to Boone Co. hates losing to Ryle! Hope the boys come out to play as much as i would love to see a Boone blowout i dont think its going to be anything but a close game.

DD, Ryle played all their playoff games at home. And lets be honest, the two teams that they did beat in the playoffs outside of NKY would not have made the playoffs up here. I dont think this game is going to come down to "who has the most experience" its Ryle vs Boone for crying out loud!

 

With that said, I do think the Raiders will pull the upset tonight!

Raiders by 10. Farris was not a factor in the last game other then the one long run. The Raiders completely shut down the passing game and two missed calls determined the outcome of the last game.

I'll be happy to hold Cory to 1 TD again tonight. And to shut down their passing game again.
