Yes, Mason does have enough 'push'. Going for the 2 was a gutsy call and one I'm sure Coach B doesn't regret. IMO, going for 2 shows he believes they had the 'push' they needed to win. Yep, they came up short... then, but don't count the Royals out just yet! This rematch should prove to go down to the wire again, and I like the Royals in this one!!:thumb:

I must admit, that's an original prediction. I suppose they'll go into OT 25-25, Russell

I raised an eyebrow at that myself,I'd like to see it happen so I can say "I saw it predicted".

Playoffs are won at the lines of scrimmage and execution - Ivan and coaches have done well with this group .... Really like where Devils are right now ....

 

Mason has talent but do they have push enough. At home they didn't think so , that's why they went for two when it was a dead even 10 yard game ....

Devils grind this one out ....

 

My thoughts are: 1 play can get you TWO extra playoff games at home. Excellent choice IMO. Just came up short.

Belfry has been the team to beat for several years. They have been beaten the last 2 years. Once at Russell and once at the CAM. Anything can happen in high school football.

The first meeting Mason and Russell I predicted Mason to win because Russell had burned me the previous week in my pick 'em contest. this time I am just going simply by the team I think will win, RUSSELL.

 

The Devils earned a very hardfought victory on the road at Mason earlier, the young Devils continue to improve and it appears for the first tiem this year Russell finally has a healthy Tyler Jones. The Abrams kid has emerged as the Devil's go to back, and a Russell defense that was decimated by graduation has finally found their groove.

It's not fair for you to pick the favorite after the game has been played. When I say favorite it is assumed that we are utilizing the BGP poll for each of those games.
