It was one of the more interesting post game interviews I have heard. He was very very proud of his team and indicated that they played their best game. I have to give him credit. The going for two was a great call.

 

If Russell play the way they did in the first meeting congratulations you will be moving on. I just don't think they will do that again.

 

Russell is too stable of a team to make their own mistakes. Mason was just good enough to force them into making mistakes. Mason Co. just didn't finish the job.

Exactly! If the Royals put together all facets of the game like they have the potential to do, look for a Ragin' Royal win Friday night!! It should prove to be another showdown and one heck of a game.

I gotta agree with jeepman on this one. That was the worst game Russell has played this year. Dropping the punts, recievers dropping passes, poor decisions all were uncharacteristic and unforced. I do give Mason credit for playing very hard and they really took the fight to Russell that game. Its not like they played a mistake free ballgame either.

 

Russell is also much healthier this time around. I think it will be a very good game but in the end I believe Russell will come away with the win.

Russell played a very poor game the first time around. Per Mason County Coach in his post game interview they played there best game to that date. Russell should not make all the mistakes they did in the first game and win this one in the 3rd quarter.

We all have a lot of respect for Coach Buchanon he is one of the finest. I'll go with what he said and not attempt to twist it in another direction.

You got that right, That Bailey kid is for real. I think they should let him run the ball about 20 times a game my self. But it wont happen. They cant see it. He is a big play maker and the best back they got. Just like the Clark kid at Fairview, He should be one of the main running backs. He very fast and quick. Any way I'm glad they didn't see it when they played raceland.

Bailey is a very good player and a playmaker but Abrams has consistantly been the best RB all year. He runs hard and has learned when to hit the hole. Bailey is also a threat as a reciever and can hurt you in different ways. Jone's ankle appears to be feeling much better and that gives the offense an entirely different look. Also if you forget about him Bates runs hard and will make you pay. All together when healthy Russell can give you alot of different options to worry about.

That was pretty much what i was meaning by Bailey focusing on the recieving with some big catches which will really open the running game up some more. I think he has been taking his eyes off the ball and looking where hes going to run before catching it.He definitely can break one on any play.

We have already played that "team with your talent level" once and we all know the outcome.

 

I think the discussion is about whether Bailey can have a game against Mason like he had against Raceland. If that happens coupled with Jones being healthy I look for Russell to win this one by 1-2 TD's.
