The Royals D played big and forced turnovers. The O played great. Its gonna be a rematch with Russell! Congrats to the Royals!

Royals O had 388 Yards for the Royals.

West Carter had 152 Yards.

Total domination for the Royals tonight. For whatever reason West just does not match up with Mason County. Way too much speed and athleticism for West to deal with tonight. The ONLY play that was working for West was the QB draw, for a brief time during the second quarter. They did move the ball against Mason's third or fourth team defense late in the game.

For those who didn't think Mason missed Cox as much on defense as on offense last week, they found out tonight. Cox jumped the route on West's first pass play of the night and picked six. After a botched 4th down play deep in Mason County territory, the Royals punched it in from the 11. After another Mason County score, West did score just before halftime to make it 22-6. However, 4 Mason County TDs in a span of about 7 minutes in the third quarter; including a Scott Brooks interception return for a score made it 50-6 and the clock was running.

Virtually everyone for Mason County saw action (Coach to sideline, "is there anybody that hasn't been in yet?"). This was the game that Royals fans had been expecting ever since the Russell game.

Congrats to coach and his team on this win.

So much for my upset prediction. However, Mason came out tonight with some fight....instead of the funk they displayed over the past few weeks. Mason and Russell should be interesting.

It is a good thing we don't play Russell next week, because we would run the ball down their throat as well.

If West is not in the Super 7 this week, Mark Maynard and the ADI will prove to all of Northeastern KY that they are complete buffoons.

You heard it here. The Comets will beat Mason next week. I hope it is cold...freakin' bring it on!

ON YE COMETS!

Way to go Royals!! You brought it all tonight... lock, stock and barrel!!:fight: Enjoy the win tonight then get ready for a war with Russell next week!:dancingpa

Congrats to Mason, they were clearly the superior team tonite, just as in the previous matchup. It just seemed like they were inside West's huddle, because pretty much no play worked for the comets. Next weeks game vs. Russell should be interesting. Best of luck to the Royals the rest of the way.

I wish for a great, entertaining ball game and a Russell win next week.

Congrats to Mason County and good luck next week. :ylsuper:

Ditto on that, but I'd have to add a Mason Co. win in addition to a great, entertaining ballgame. It should be another hard fought game, just hope the outcome is different this time around.:thumb:

Sorry but I have to hope it stays the same.

I figured you'd say that.

I didn't get to go and I am glad I didn't. Mason must be that much better. My bet is that Mason beats Russell. They have the better team.

Good job Royals!

If Mason gets up on Russell early Friday night, they will not let go of the lead this time.
