Kentucky got thumped by Gardner Webb. I don't care if the pledges of the Sigma Chi Fraternity at UK played for the Wildcats, Kentucky does not lose to the likes of Gardner Webb. This is a disgrace and there is no excuse for it. Put the blame on whomever you choose but the buck stops with the coaching staff. A kindergarten student should be able to coach Kentucky to victory against Gardner Webb. This is terrible.

Embarrassing game. I think as we speak, Gardner Webb still has some guys cutting back door. You would think BCG could make some sort of adjustment. Regardless, UK will live and die by the 3 this year and that's a fact. Without a real post player or someone who is and established/prolific scorer...where does the scoring come from? Two more things: Perry Stevenson is just a bad player and it was no surprise to see SA get in his standard shot on Tubby early in this thread.

Patterson at one and Meeks at the other...just a guess, I'm no basketball coach but they couldn't man up on that team I can't imagine what Memphis would had done to them...:eek:

Based on the complete lack of frontcourt, UK may have to go really gimick this season and play a 4 guard and 1 forward set. Play a lot of zone on the defensive end of the floor and hope the guards can make shots at the offensive end of the floor. I just do not see UK winning games on the road in conference with no center, and only one capable power forward, who will be in foul trouble on the road in the league having to guard taller, bigger, stronger, players.

 

Our only hope is to play a four guard system. Bradley needs to be relieved of his point guard duties, Stevenson needs to ride the pine and Crawford needs to get his act together. This season could get ugly if changes aren't made. I know it is extremely early and the Freshman are only going to get better, but where are the leaders on this team? Who is going to step up and do something?

Where is Woo/Shagari/Sheray when you need them.... at least they made you laugh when watching and not upset like we al are now.

Players should have learned to not stare at the ball on defense and let your man cut to the basket in middle school or before, some of the UK players just seem lost defensively.

This just shows Tubby should have left about 3 years ago.
