Ump calls it foul every one stops running, play is reviewed and it is rulled a fair ball. What do you do. A runner on first might be able to score, but might not. Is the batter awarded a single, double, triple? Whereas in football the play is completed and a review would show if the ball was actually caught or not, etc.
May 23, 200818 yr I have no problem with reviewing HR's, and I think it's rediculous that they have to experiment. How hard is it for us in our living rooms to make a judgement with instant replay? It's not difficult.

That would not be covered.
May 23, 200818 yr I could possibly go for it on home run balls, fair or foul ONLY. Once replay gets into it then imo it would take away from the game and the "human element". 'IF" it were only to detertmine whether a hr ball was over a line or fair/foul then I could agree. As long as absolutely nothng else would be added. Should that happen then sooner or later some idiots would want to use it to determine balls and stikes calls. Do not bring any call in it other than the hr/fair or foul on an hr (not on a ball hit down the line). As a matter of fact, the more I am typing this the more I am against any of it. I can just see if the HR replay call was allowed there would be constant complaints, crying about bad calls and people would want to expand the replay rules. Yep, I talked myself out of it that quick :lol:................ NO replay on anything in baseball, that's my final answer.

May 23, 200818 yr I heard somewhere that the technology used in tennis matches to determine balls that are in or out is accurate to within 3 millimeters.
