DragonFire Posted November 4, 2007 Posted November 4, 2007 A few weeks ago USF was a Cinderella story, and now three straight losses later, they are in last place in the Big East.
bigblueinsanity Posted November 4, 2007 Posted November 4, 2007 Nice win for UC...USF is going down FAST
cshs81 Posted November 4, 2007 Posted November 4, 2007 A few weeks ago, some of us knew that USF had yet do earn the #2 ranking in the country. Strong team but way, way overhyped at the time. UC put up 31 points in the first qtr. What's that say?

cshs81 Posted November 4, 2007 Posted November 4, 2007 Of course, it also says that Cincinnati was held to 7 the rest of the way. Is that like a "besides that Mr. Lincoln, how did you like the play?"
nees1212 Posted November 4, 2007 Posted November 4, 2007 A few weeks ago, some of us knew that USF had yet do earn the #2 ranking in the country. Strong team but way, way overhyped at the time. UC put up 31 points in the first qtr. What's that say? USF hadn't given up 31 points in 3 years. That was a crazy first half. USF had 14 points before their offense even got on the field.
HHSDad Posted November 4, 2007 Posted November 4, 2007 That was a wild game. I was really surprised to see the Bearcat offense stumble in the second half. Did USF make some adjustments or was UC just being conservative on offense. With that many turnovers, USF should have never been in the game.
gametime Posted November 4, 2007 Posted November 4, 2007 I only saw bits and pieces of the 2nd half because I was covering the hoops exhibition, but what I saw didn't look pretty....
swamprat Posted November 4, 2007 Posted November 4, 2007 That was the worst and best game I've ever witnessed. Mauk's first pass resulted in an interception and a USF TD. Then Mauk's second pass bounced off a Bull defender, who sould have caught it, and resulted in a completion for a UC TD. Then on the UC kick off, Mike Jenkins went 98 yard for a TD for USF. Then the next UC drive ended in a field goal. I looked up and with 10:10 to go in the first quarter it was 14-10. The Bulls offensive unit hit the field for the first time, and everything went south. 3 interceptions, 3 fumbles, and a blocked punt later it was 38-20 Bearcats. The second half UC tried to give the game back, but the Bulls were not having any of that. However, UC made a terrible decision to fake a field goal on 4th down leaving the Bulls with great field position with 25 seconds to go and for the 3rd game in a row, the final play decided the outcome. Win lose or draw, these Bulls are definitely entertaining. Frustrating, too. I love this stuff. :thumb: I hate it, too.
youknowme Posted November 4, 2007 Posted November 4, 2007 UC was involved in 2 plays on SC Top 10....A UC player got BLOWN UP by a USF defensive player & a UC receiver had a nice bobbled catch for a TD.
swamprat Posted November 4, 2007 Posted November 4, 2007 No bad seats in Raymond James. Some stuff I took from section 332.
oldrambler Posted November 4, 2007 Posted November 4, 2007 Great Win for the Bearcats - along with WVU, UC is by far my favorite Big East team. :thumb:
letabrotherspeak Posted November 4, 2007 Posted November 4, 2007 Leavitt is getting some heat from the press. Dan Lebatard ripped him pretty good this week...sounds like they are really wilting. More or less it stems from him strong arming the media, potentially one reporter was threatened with arrest after the Rutgers game. Nice win for the Bearcats. Does anyone have stats on what a team's record is, coming off the bye? Say from the major conferences...it would be interesting to see the stats on that.
