Im addressing certain issues in the program that have been around for years, and I take offense at the fact that you are questioning my loyalty to my Alma Mater. It's quite obvious that I still bleed Orange and Blue, or this would be of no concern to me whatsoever.

 

It has happened more than once that certain coaches on FHS' staff have put the blame on everyone but themselves when Frankfort loses. If I were the only that felt this was going on, I wouldn't say a word, but I'm not. If Im a coach, I take 100% responsibility for EVERY SINGLE LOSS. There's no excuse for anything less.

 

I wish nothing but the best for the FHS program, and you know that. I apologize if the voicing of my opinion offends you, but I call it like I see it. Some things need to be addressed and corrected at FHS, and some of those things are long overdue, IMO.

Any idea on the radio schedule...with FHS and County expected to go deep in the playoffs???

If Foley did that where players could hear him I would be shocked. I don't know if we're on the radio or not with FC being at home also.

You might want to add NewCath, Mayfield and Danville to that list. Danville, back in 2004, thumped Manual in the season opener, 25-0.

 

Um, try 2003 in the season opener. It was a 22-7 win, not a thumping IMO. Also, Manual wasn't that good that year, at least not as good as they are now...

Sounds like Frankfort has some real stumbling blocks and bad distractions. More problems than a math test! Ever thought about stepping down if there is so much displeasure? Parents say there are too many egos and personal problems carried onto the field by the coaching staff to do right by the kids.

Glad to see you're taking Franks place Duece. We wouldn't know what to do if we didn't have someone constantly putting us down.

This is what gets me about Frankfort fans, and I'm sure it's this way at other places. The constant critisism no matter what you do. You win as a team and you lose as a team and the coaches are part of the team. Now if you don't put together a good game plan it's the coaches fault. If you practice a good game plan all week and go over and over it and it's not exucuted on Friday night who's faul is that. When I coached fulltime at FHS I was one of the coaches that expected the players to take some blame. If you have players out of place where thay can't make a play then that's the coaches fault, if you have players in the proper spots and they don't make the play who's fault is that? I know for a fact the staff goes over and over film looking for formations that will work, or physical mismatches that you can create. I know caoch Thacker used to tell the team that loss was on me, and if we didn't have a good gameplan I would agree, but if you have people in the right spots and you create the mismatches you expected and it doesn't get carried out who's fault is that. If the teams not emotionally charged that pretty much goes on the staff. Sorry just had to vent after some of the crap that's been posted on here.

This could go on for days... but I have nothing to say about this game, the players just didnt want it this game nothing the coaches can do about that...

Sometimes you lose and it doesn't help to start blaming and pointing fingers. Sometimes you lose to better teams. Sometimes you lose to teams that just played better that night. Winning isn't paramount - it's a goal you work to achieve while overcoming circumstances and growing as a person.

If someone has problems with the coaches, it includes me. The thing that dissapoints me is the fact that we have a VERY GOOD CHANCE this year to get to the carpet, but we constantly have distractions. Is it a distraction to the coaches, no, but PLAYERS get on here and read this crap and then their minds start thinking about things other than FOOTBALL. Outside of school work, there is nothing else they need to be thinking about. They don't need to worry about coaches this and that, they HAVE to do what they are told. Egos among coaches, dang right, I think I HAVE THE BEST STAFF IN THE STATE, so yes we have egos on the field, do we let it interfer with our preperation NOPE. We have a goal as a team and staff to win each and every game, when we don't sometimes we lose to better teams, other times, it is MY fault. Read the articles, I believe the eminence game I TOOK THE BLAME for the performance, not the kids. Kids have accountability, but it comes back to ME. For ANY AND ALL supporters (or so called), stop the bashing and support these guys and their run to something that hasn't been done in years at Frankfort --- a chance to play on the carpet.

According to parents of players, standards (academic and discplinary) at FHS are lower than they have ever been for players. Lowering eligibility standards the afternoon before the FCHS game was not a class act. I think your people support your kids. Sounds like lots of credibility and personal issues with the staff are interfering.

Played for Franklin County did you? For years FHS standards were so far above what KHSAA required it was almost unfair. So now that we're close to the same level as most other schools we aren't doing it the right way.

I don't believe that ONE person has said anything about not supporting the boys that play for this team.
