That was Summit View Middle they were talking about last night which sends kids to SK, Scott, and Dixie. They were undefeated last year as well.

I hope you're right, I just want to wait until it happens to declare it. Seen to many transfers, kids quit, others catch up, etc. over the years.

All I am saying is, its the announcer's responsibility to know the other team's name, mascot, and how to pronounce their players' names. That is the mark of a good announcer. I just got annoyed with him repeatedly saying Highland, instead of Highlands. Highland is the school on Beavis and Butthead, not the one in Fort Thomas. It would be like our announcer saying Kenton, instead of Simon Kenton. Not picking on the announcer, just wish he would have done his homework. I don't think that's bad sportsmanship, bad sportsmanship would have been yelling at him in the booth numerous times about it, and I only said something once. So chill out and enjoy your victory, and if you all are smart, you will move that whole Frosh team up to varsity and get them some playing time so they can't transfer to Dixie, Scott, Cov Cath, etc.

Congrats to the you Pioneers!!! They are building a powerhouse out in Independence...

 

They should be able to. Geographically, Independence is the largest city in the State. I know it sounds crazy, but true. There are more housing developments out there than they can handle. Watch for another high school to be built out there in the next 5 years or so. If not, Simon Kenton and Scott should be amazing barring a split like Boone Co schools.

With all the hype and attention this game received, did anyone that watched the game leave diappointed? Not with the outcome, but the quality of play. I for one thought the game was well played on both sides. Congrats to SK and Highlands for a great game.

I agree, I enjoyed seeing the talented SK Frosh team. I saw Highlands loss to Ryle and HHS beat themselves that game. They (Ryle) was not as superior of an opponent as SK was. SK was truly the best team. Last night was kinda david and golliath. Congrats to SK and my buddy Stevie Burns out there, former Highlands receiver, doing something right. HMMMMMMMM, Seems like all the up and coming teams have HHS formers as coaches-SK, Dixie, Holmes, Dayton, Not to mention Borchers at Ludlow is from NCC, so I guess it does help to have a coach that comes from a winning program. Just a thought, I am sure I will get some response to this.

For 1 quarter and a little over a half of the second qtr. Congrats to SK, the better team won and good luck in the future. The quality of play for SK entire team and HHS defense was there but when HHS loses their QB towards the end of the 1st half, well then yes there is definately some disappointment in the quality of the play. It definately changed when you lose him and ask a backup to take over. This is not a knock against the backup but its awful tough to come in and maintain the same quality when you havent see any action for what 9 weeks. Ty did a very nice job coming in for the Birds and keeping it respectable.

Yes, I was very impressed with both teams, coaches and fans. I watched fans from both teams congratulating players from both sides as they were leaving the field last night.
