Just got a text from Rob Butcher -- the Reds have picked up the options on Dunn, Valentin and Hatteberg. They declined the option on Guardado.

 

Also, Johnny Narron will not be returning as the video/administrative coach.

 

And, yet another note. Apparently Adam Dunn is off fishing and out of cell phone range, so you'll not be hearing from him today. I've left voice mails for everyone, will keep you updated.

At least Dunn will act as a fan for the people behind the Reds dugout during those sticky July days.

I agree and not sure that Votto is trade materials, as much as Hatteberg will have the platoon role, while working Votto into the lineup.

 

ST will be the key, in seeing how they develop and playing against MLB pitching everyday.

I look for a busy winter in Cincinnati. The winter meetings will be getting underway and the Reds, will get several offers/interests, on a few players.

 

Perhaps package deals and Minor Leaguers, will be in the works.

Don't see it happening IMHO...The only way I see Hamilton moved, is if the Reds think Bruce is ready. And he probably needs one more year.

Bruce is ready for the majors. He has nothing else to prove in the minors.
