There was another thread earlier this week about a Johnson Central player, a transfer from McCreary Central, whose eligibility is in question ... I assume that's what it's about.

Is the player in question able to play Friday night? When is a decision by the KHSAA expected? Or, like another player at a different school, will the player in question seek an injunction and be able to play in the court's eye?

So if this is in fact the question of eligibility of one player, is this player worth forfeiting the whole season for? Is this player a star? IMHO I would sit this player until everything were sorted out if they have had to forfeit some already. I personally don't agree with all of the underhanded transfers, fake addresses, etc. I know that everyone accuses Highlands of this but if you compare us to any other successful program, the number of transfers is tiny!!!

If you guys have first hand knowledge of underhanded transfers, fake addresses, etc. you need to contact the KHSAA and tell them about it. No more of it here.

IF JC were required to forfiet district games (based on the ruling), am I correct that they would be the 4 seed in the district. Is there a deadline, which after the ruling would have no bearing on seeding? For example if the deadline is Saturday night, and no ruling made until Monday, would JC recive the 2 seed, even though they would have the 4th best record? Am I making sense?

All playoff teams will know their opponent tonight and coaches will start to prepare for next Fridays games. Waiting any length of time beyond game time tonight would be unfair to all involved.

Not saying I know about any of that, I am only noting what false accusations have been made in prior years against some programs.

I wouldn't blame you...I think they lost quite a few subscribers this week.

My guess entirely.

 

I know once the playoffs begin, they can't go back and re-seed them. That issue came to light in the Mitchell case. The question is, when do the playoffs begin? I would say when the seeding and pairings are first announced or posted by the KHSAA. I'm guessing that will be as soon as possible after tonights games.

Just wondering.... if the KHSAA declares the player ineligible and the games that he played in ruled as a forfeit then JC is a #4 seed. What if JC goes to court in Johnson County and files an injunction to appeal, then would the KHSAA put JC as a #2 seed because it would probable be later than Friday before a judge would rule.:confused:
