May 27, 201313 yr That hasn't really been my experience so far this year selling beer down there at GABP. I'd say over 75% of people at least tip the 75 cents (beers are $8.25) and quite a few will tip even more. Sometimes I'm surprised even. Happens quite a bit that I'll get a $10 and told to keep the changes or a $20 on two beers and be told to keep the change ($3.50). I will say that women are the worst tippers, not trying to be sexist, but the majority of times that I don't get tipped, its a middle aged woman, or a 21-24 year old. Maybe it's because they aren't as used to buying drinks?
May 27, 201313 yr Maybe it's because they aren't as used to buying drinks? Could be, I'm not sure. With this being my 2nd job, any commission I make, I see as a bonus. Any tips on top of that is double bonus.
January 15, 201412 yr I got some guys delivering bedroom furniture tomorrow. Would you guys tip? If so how much? I was planning on just giving them a $20.

January 15, 201412 yr I got some guys delivering bedroom furniture tomorrow. Would you guys tip? If so how much? I was planning on just giving them a $20. May not be an accurate comparison, but I give the Dish/Direct guy $10 or $20.
January 15, 201412 yr If they are taking it upstairs, as much beer as you got! I doubt they can drink on the job. :lol2: They have more to deliver.
January 15, 201412 yr May not be an accurate comparison, but I give the Dish/Direct guy $10 or $20. For setting up the satellite?
January 15, 201412 yr I don't tip workers such as furniture and satellites. to me that is their job and they are paid a salary to do it.

January 15, 201412 yr I guess the satellite guy is no different but I never thought about tipping them. I didn't either until someone mentioned it to me.
January 15, 201412 yr I doubt they can drink on the job. :lol2: They have more to deliver. I was kidding, but that was what I used to do if I asked some buddies to help me move.
January 15, 201412 yr I didn't either until someone mentioned it to me. Never tipped my barber until my wife always told me she tipped her hairdresser.
January 15, 201412 yr I was kidding, but that was what I used to do if I asked some buddies to help me move. Same here. Pizza and beer
January 15, 201412 yr Never tipped my barber until my wife always told me she tipped her hairdresser. I give my barber a $50 gift card to Ruby Tuesday every Christmas. But he cuts my hair for free.
