October 29, 200718 yr They lost to Mississippi State! If this was an early season loss, I could understand it, but its not and they were flat out dominated. This team could very easily finish 7-5 and fourth in the SEC East with a 3-4 in Conference record. Last time I looked, Miss. State is 5-3.

October 29, 200718 yr I don't have a dog in this fight, and don't know how the rest of the schedule affects the SEC standings, but...... Assuming that we are not talking BCS (at this point I think that's a fairly safe assumption), are the bowls not directly tied to where the teams finish in the SEC? The bowls cannot "choose" to take one SEC team and not one that finished higher, correct? By my count if they finish with 3 losses they should be somewhere in the #5 to #7 range, depending on what everyone else does. Mr. Vick? lol
October 29, 200718 yr At this point I see no reason to believe that will happen. They have Vandy on the road where the Commodores are very tough (not to mention Vandy just beat USC on the road last week), they have Georgia on the road with the Bulldogs looking for revenge, and they have UT at home (a team that they have not beaten in 25 years or so). I believe they are fully capable of winning any of the next three games. But all three? Nope. If they're capable of winning any of them, then it stands to reason they're capable of winning them all. Just a thought...

October 29, 200718 yr Why? UK is capable of winning all three games. They are very capable. I think the toughest one will be @ Georgia. But I'll be in Athens that day cheering for the Cats, so I hope they pull it out!!

October 29, 200718 yr With 25% of the schedule still to play, it is still too early to put them in any particular bowl game. This game scared me with the injuries and the brutal 3 game swing they had to play. The week off will do them a WORLD of good. Many were too high after the LSU win and now many are too low are the Miss St loss. Cats will be fine and still end up better than anyone predicted on here.
