If this was an early season loss, I could understand it, but its not and they were flat out dominated. This team could very easily finish 7-5 and fourth in the SEC East with a 3-4 in Conference record.

October 28, 200718 yr I still expect the Cats to do a little better than The Music City Bowl this year. If they do go back though, I had a great time in Nashville last year and will again this year.

You really think Little would miss time if he doesnt have to? He is a senior with hopes to be drafted, particularly on the first day. You know the kid would be in there if he could.

I don't have a dog in this fight, and don't know how the rest of the schedule affects the SEC standings, but...... Assuming that we are not talking BCS (at this point I think that's a fairly safe assumption), are the bowls not directly tied to where the teams finish in the SEC? The bowls cannot "choose" to take one SEC team and not one that finished higher, correct? By my count if they finish with 3 losses they should be somewhere in the #5 to #7 range, depending on what everyone else does.

Personally, I'd love to see UK go to the Outback Bowl, but I have a feeling it will be the Music City again.
October 28, 200718 yr The week off will give players a chance to heal up mentaly and physcially. I expect we will see UK at full strength with Little and Burton back in uniform. I see no reason at all UK can't win out. Lower your bar!
October 28, 200718 yr Just like any other SEC school that sells out their (larger) stadiums on a weekly basis. This is not the case. Very few teams' fans travel like UK's fans. I went to the Outback Bowl in 2004, and Raymond James Stadium was at most 70% filled. That year had Florida playing Iowa.
October 28, 200718 yr If the Cats manage to win only 1 of their last three games they will be in the Outback Bowl for two reasons: 1. It will be against a Big 10 team and the way the Big 10 has been playing this year, save TOSU, UK should be able to compete with any team in that conference. 2. The fact that UK travels well cannot be overlooked. At the Music City Bowl last season it was 85% blue; not to mention the other thousands of Cat fans that went to Nashville and did not get a ticket. In their last Outback Bowl appearence - 1999 against Penn St. - Cat fans flocked to Tampa and the game was sold out. I am positive it would happen again. $$$$$$ :thumb:
