Not sure I agree with you on this one. If Highlands wins, it will be because they out play SK on Thursday night. I think SK has proven all year that they have the most taltent on the freshman level this year. Not saying that SK will win the game. It's hard to beat a good team once much less twice in the same season. But I would have to give a slight edge to SK right now.

 

I think SK has proven all year that they are able to focus week in week out, play smart and win. That is a great accomplishment for 14-15 year olds. Talent wise I think there are several teams this year that are on equal footing based on the games I've seen and the scores that have been reported. I believe you could put any teams from SK, Ryle, CC, CCH and HHS andy maybe Conner into the championship game and have a good game.

What a neat thing for the Varisty program to be there Thurs rooting and supporting for their little bros. This is what makes Highlands a special program. NKY take notes. Should be a great rematch. GO BIRDS.

I think they will!! You don't get to the level of the Highlands program by making the same mistakes. Hope that SK can get to that level with the varsity program someday.

Not saying who is the best or the 2nd best. All I'm saying is that you had 5 or 6 teams that were all very competitive with each other and that you could match up any 2 of them and have a good game. I'm sure if the tables were turned and SK had the 1 loss they would be claiming to be the 2nd best team. The fact remains the same, alot of competitive teams this year. I don't remember a whole lot of blowouts between these teams.

IMO SK is the best team I've seen this year. But they are not that much more talented than Highlands or Ryle. That's why I've enjoyed watching the freshman games this year. You have to show up every week and play hard or you don't win.

I do like how the SK coaches handle their players. In one game, a d-lineman was getting a bit chippy and he got yanked. The big coach(don't know his name) got in his face and told him he had better learn how to represent himself and SK. That ended that.

 

I also think SK has a pretty good leader in the qb #10.

SK should win this game they have found ways to win every game this year and this should be another one. I don't think this one will be as close as the last one was.

Let's hope someone can! For all you "people from ft. thomas" that keep saying you were not at the last game you didn't see what happen. There should have been ejections made. I've never seen a game so out of hand in my life. So please, control, play the game the right way and if you lose do it with some dignity.

 

I doubt there will any bad sportsmanship going on this time around with all the big brothers looking on. I would hate to be the freshman to get an unsportsmanlike this week with a handful of freshman more than likely moving up next week to the varsity. Practices might be a little interesting to say the least!!!!!

Good point. The kid that gets any penalty like that will be the recipient of the colored jersey and he will be the guy they stick in the backfield on scout team against the first teamers. As a frosh, I wouldnt want to have to do that with the likes of Ball, Stein, Fitzgerald, Simons and a host of other headhunters.

Your post had nothing to do with the numbers. You said how great it was of Dale to allow the Varisty guys to go cheer for the younger boys. I was simply saying that any coach would do the same thing, therefore although a good thing to do it does not really matter since it is the standard thing to do. Nice try at changing it though.:thumb: On a side note, yes the numbers do speak for themselves so they're either doing something right over there, or they've got something in the water.
