October 26, 200718 yr Although it was annoying and I wanted it to shut up... I hope the little guy wasn't hurt. Yea right
October 26, 200718 yr Hopefully, the dog wasn't shot. Would never condone, this type of action. No, I condone shooting the owner! Actually, there is made a shotgun shell just for these fun loving animals with rubber buckshot, they squall like panthers, bruised, scared, but no worse for wear! Worked on a long leg beagle that used to come by and growl at the kids a few years back, haven't seen him since!
October 26, 200718 yr Author Well good news and bad news..... Good news the little yapper is alive and well.. The bad news is the little dog woke me up at 3am!! :madman: It was at this point I wished someone would have shot it! :fire:
October 26, 200718 yr Exactly what I was thinking. This might not be the best time of year to be walking around with a sheet on your head, while waving a gun around. Totally agree with you, but i was just wondering when exactly would the best time of year to walk around with a sheet on you head and waving a gun around?
October 26, 200718 yr Where do you live? Most cities have ordinances against yappy pets. Printing off the ordinance and taping it to the pet owner's door would be a good "anonymous" start to remedying the problem. Lexington - Ordinance 14.72 (10) It shall be unlawful for any person to keep or harbor within the urban county any animal, including, but not limited to, domestic pets, that repeatedly or frequently emits any sound, including but not limited to barking, yelping, howling, meowing, or squawking, or that otherwise creates a noise disturbance across a dwelling unit boundary, in such a manner so as to annoy or disturb a reasonable person of normal sensitivities. Louisville What can be done about barking dogs? You can make a service request to address the issue of a barking dog or dogs. We will send an officer out to talk to the owner and educate about the ordinance. If this doesn’t work we can investigate the situation further and proceed based on the evidence. Our officers are now able to take a sworn written statement from the complainant who has witnessed a violation and the circumstances of the violation and it will be filed with District Court.
October 26, 200718 yr I agree with Hokiefromky there are law's and ordinance's against dog owner's and I would call and have it forced on the owner. I have done this and the owner of the dog's got fined. JD
October 26, 200718 yr I know a couple of guys named Newman and Kramer. That is what I was going to post.
October 26, 200718 yr Dogs bark. You might check to see what was disturbing it and remove the disturbance. For $70, you can get a good dog bark collar. Probably worth buying and offering to your neighbor to save your sanity.
October 26, 200718 yr Own a BB or pellet gun? That was along the lines that I was thining, with that being said.... 1.) I take it that the dog was outside....(would not shoot up someones home) 2.) BB and Pellet guns are definatley quieter if going for that but a .22 is more effective and permanately takes care of the problem if all else mentioned b others fail. Another option is a bowl full of anti freeze (not the newer "safe for pets kind":D) 3.) Call Vick and friends to take the blame off of you but then again if it is a little "yappy" dog then I don't think they would be intersted, probably wouldn't interest a dog fighter. (j/k of course, what Vick and friends did was sick and stupid)
October 26, 200718 yr I know a couple of guys named Newman and Kramer.:laugh::laugh:Classic......May the Seinfield show never die!
