I heard the same time and location. The game was supposed to be at Highlands at 10, but I was told that a bunch of Beechwood kids are taking the SAT or some other test that morning. Highlands agreed to move the game later in the day and to Beechwood to make it easier for the Beechwood football players taking the test (and frankly with Highlands probably not getting back from MadCent. until after midnight, the push back in time worked out just fine for the Birds.)

 

Should be a good game. I enjoy going Beechwood's stadium. Nice facility.

 

But first, each team has a little matter to attend to tonight.

It is amazing to me that Highlands doesn't have any teams in the NKYFL yet the rest of the league lets the games be played at Highlands. My point here is Highlands "gets it" on so many levels and many other schools do not get it.

I heard it is centered on the mandatory playing time for all kids at all levels of play and that the primary function of the league is to provide instructional football to the youth.

 

Seems to be working. The "League" is currently enjoying one of its highest turnout for participation and retention.

I think I like it best coaching our own. Yea I know, I'm going to be alittle, ok alot selfish here. I love seeing all the kids in the Jr. football league, but I want to see Ft. Thomas kids that are going to go to Highlands and play football there. Heck you watch them play all thru little league and then next thing you know their off to NC, Campbell Co. a few schools in Kenton Co. and I even heard that we may of had one or two from Cincy.:irked:

If Highlands played in the league they would dominate but thats another thread. I think they want to develop their own and give them all more playing time instead of having one stud team to participate in the NKYFL. Would love to see one game a year or something like that where they took the All Stars from each division in FTJRFL and played the Super Bowl winner in NKYFL?
