October 21, 200718 yr The Big 10 only has one good offense like it or not and that is Michigan. When those teams you mention play any teams with decent defenses they lose. I mean the week after you all beat Purdue, I think they got smoked like 41 to 14 or something like that. Washington has only one 2 games all year and with a freshman QB I believe..Michigan State had a decent offense I will give you that. But it is just a typical Big 10 offense that matches up perfect for OSU, because there is no speed in that offense of Michigan State. As I just said in another thread OSU first and only REAL TEST they will have this year will be Michigan. And that is a team that lost to a 1AA team. But Michigan is not an actual normal Big 10 offense, they actually have an offense with some speed and playmakers, and will score on OSU. We will get to see if that offense of OSU really cant do much when they are not getting the ball all game because of their defense...Penn State next week is just another team that matches up perfect for OSU, because not much of an offense at all, and and not much speed... OK...Washington lost to USC 27-24. The same defense coming into this year that everyone talked about. Washington did beat Boise State ( who was #22 at the time ) and Syracuse ( who beat U of L ). Purdue just beat Iowa 31-6 who just beat Illinois last week. Penn State is a good team, and next week should be a good game. I don't see Mike Hart running all over OSU's D like he has everyone elses.

Thats great the 2 win Washington team beat Syracuse who I think may just have one win on the year, and you are trying to use that to show that they are good... Great Purdue beat Iowa, thats good for them. I mean thats an impressive win right there... Penn State is a decent team, that was overranked really bad to start the year like Wisconsin..As I said in the other thread, yeah some of these teams might be the top 5 teams in the Big 10, but that is not saying much. Because if you put these same teams you mentioned in the SEC, Pac 10 or Big East and those teams would be the teams at the bottom of the conference this year. OSU in the big 10 faces teams that are great matchups for OSU because their is no speed on those teams, and well at best all those teams are just DECENT teams..
October 21, 200718 yr Author I will say this...OSU may give most of the SEC a game. However, LSU and Florida beats the Buckeyes, just like the Gators did last year, if not worse.
October 21, 200718 yr I will say this...OSU may give most of the SEC a game. However, LSU and Florida beats the Buckeyes, just like the Gators did last year, if not worse. I will say this I dont agree that if OSU was in the SEC that 6 or 7 teams would beat them. Because OSU is a very good team and would win. However in the SEC 6 or 7 teams would have a realistic chance to actually beat them, unlike in the Big 10. I think if OSU was in the SEC and had tough games about every week, they would end up with around 2 or 3 losses....

Purdue is a good offense and Ohio State held them to 7 points. We can say all we want it won't matter. It all comes down to when they play each other. We will see how good UM and OSU are when they play. I have my opinion and you have yours.

Playing UK's confrence schedule I think LSU would beat them and maybe UF depending on the sites. If UK played OSU's confrence schedule I think they would have 2-4 losses.

October 21, 200718 yr So you think UK would get just as many losses in the Big 10 as they would if they played in the Big 10? WOW.... I think Ohio State, Michigan, Illinois and Indiana would be tough games for them. Penn State, Michigan State and Wisconsin would be too.
October 21, 200718 yr I think Ohio State, Michigan, Illinois and Indiana would be tough games for them. Penn State, Michigan State and Wisconsin would be too. Those games would be alot easier, than some of the teams UK is playing in the SEC. Those teams you mentioned are not that fast, and UK speed would give them all kinds of trouble, and none of those teams would really stop UK on offense. And UK defense which is not great, but is better this year and would have an easier time going against those offenses than the offenses in the SEC... I mean you think UK would have 2 to 4 losses against those teams in the Big 10, when in a conference that is ALOT better than the Big 10, they probably would be around that loss margin. So have to think that UK would have alot better record then in a weaker conference in the Big 10...Also you said that 2 or 3 losses for OSU in the SEC would be pretty good, considering how tough the SEC is...AND THAT IS THE EXACT POINT THAT EVERYONE IS TRYING TO MAKE TO YOU OSU FANS. Yeah OSU is a good team, but people just dont believe they are the BEST team in the country. Because if you do put them in the SEC they probably are not undefeated right now and wouldn't be ranked #1 in the country...
October 21, 200718 yr Ohio State is a good team in a weak conference (#6 according to both Massey and Sagarin). I would love to see the Cats play them in a bowl game. But with Michigan being the only team with a good shot at beating the Buckeyes in the regular season, I don't expect that the match-up will happen. I hope that Ohio State is matched up with whichever team wins the SEC again.
October 21, 200718 yr I don't think LSU's D is as good as OSU's. Ohio State has gave up 4 TD's on offense, LSU has gave up 15. Ohio State gives up an average of 209 yards a game, LSU gives up close to 233. Good Stat, but not as good once you see that LSU has Played Auburn, Florida, UK, and Virgina Tech who has OSU played.
October 22, 200718 yr LSU is still a "Great" team with their miracle victory at home VS Auburn..... That's how it works in the SEC.
October 22, 200718 yr LSU is still a "Great" team with their miracle victory at home VS Auburn..... I guess it wasn't as impressive as that 7 point victory of the juggernaut that is MSU...
