October 27, 200718 yr So you're saying UK isn't quite as good as Akron? I don't think he said that. OSU didn't play the best against Akron, but a 20-2 win isn't to bad if you ask me.
October 27, 200718 yr Hard to compare a MAC team (isn't Akron a MAC team) against an SEC team. Very different look. Would love to see OSU play UK. Honestly, I do not know who would win... but what "a giant leap" for UK football. Kind of like OSU had some giant leaps in NCAA basketball in recent years... so I know you OSU fans know what it's like to be in this "state of mind".
October 27, 200718 yr OK here is my 2 cents worth. Me and another guy at work were talking about this yesterday. But he is saying that you put any SEC team in the Big Ten and they would not and could not win the conference because the offense lines are bigger and any SEC team would get beaten down as the season drew on. :argue: Are you kidding me? You could take one of at least 6 SEC teams (this year) and put them in the Big Ten and they would win the whole thing. The Big Ten after OSU's meltdown against Florida last year realizes now that you need speed to win in the National picture. I told my buddy with his thinking that is why the Big Ten is winning conference championships and the SEC is winning National Championships. I live in Ohio and have for a while now and I root for the Buckeyes. This year their defense is the Real Deal, but unless the Defense can score at least a TD a game against good teams they will not go undefeated. Their offense has a couple of good receivers but their O-line got exposed when Michigan State started blitzing and just about pulled off the upset last week. Their running game is good but they are young and haven't seen a defense with alot of speed yet. I would love to see a UK vs OSU bowl game. I would be living a hard life with all Buckeye fans I work with but you know what, most of the people I work with have some sort of roots tied to Kentucky so I think deep down they would love to see it too.
October 27, 200718 yr I don't think he said that. OSU didn't play the best against Akron, but a 20-2 win isn't to bad if you ask me. He said OSU would beat UK by AT LEAST 20. Funny since OSU didn't beat Akron by 20. I'd say UK is infinitely better than Akron, and would play a pretty close game against OSU.

UK is better than Akron, but I still don't think they could beat Ohio State. Kentucky and Ohio State both played Kent State this season. Kentucky won 56-20 and Ohio State won 48-3. When they played UK it was a 14-14 tie at the half, Ohio State was up 35-0 at the half. Kentucky gave up 20 points and 453 total yards, Ohio State gace up 3 points and 223 total yards.
October 27, 200718 yr Still checking and looking but as of this morning I still haven't found this game on either ones schedule.............:walk:
October 27, 200718 yr Still checking and looking but as of this morning I still haven't found this game on either ones schedule.............:walk: That is true. They won't play each other so it doesn't matter what any of us think.
October 27, 200718 yr Ohio State would win this year by at least 20. Well you got the State part right.
October 27, 200718 yr So you're saying UK isn't quite as good as Akron?Yes, against Kentucky. See things for what they are and not what you want them to be.:thumb:
October 27, 200718 yr So you're saying UK isn't quite as good as Akron? Try and stay in touch with the real world.
October 28, 200718 yr Try and stay in touch with the real world. First, I'm not sure why you responded to my post twice, and second, if tOSU can't beat Akron by 20, why would they beat UK by that?
October 28, 200718 yr First, I'm not sure why you responded to my post twice, and second, if tOSU can't beat Akron by 20, why would they beat UK by that? Ohio State had a bad game, so what? Did you miss the big wins they have had this year?? UK has had bad games too.
October 28, 200718 yr First, I'm not sure why you responded to my post twice, and second, if tOSU can't beat Akron by 20, why would they beat UK by that? They are that good. Plus the Buckeyes would not be taking this game off against Kentucky if they were really playing it.
