I would offer a family friends back yard for parking but i dont think they would appreciate that without me asking but it is in the back door of the field. I will see how many they can squeeze in there. Since our main concern is this years game but after awhile we tend to get to bruttle with each other even though we are neighbors i guess i can start something else just for lightening this years subject up. I wished they would have played last year. Yes, i said it and i wont say it again but i do. Anyway that is past and this is now. I do understand seating and more bathroom facilities are going to be added. I am sure more food and i still hope everyone remains safe, the boys reamain healthy, no one gets thrown out and we have a good old fashion neighborhood game.

 

I'm sure that the Raceland staff will do everything possible to make this a great evening. We should all have a good time.

Thanks for the offer Ram, and it's much appreciated but I'm flying into Raleigh NC tomorrow to visit some Raceland grads and then we are driving to Raceland on Friday for the game. I guess you can say I going coast to coast for this game. I hope to meet you at the game.....sounds like you devote alot of time to the young players.

Why should they do that? Russell parks the buses of opposing teams right up front against the fence. It is called "hospitality."

 

Not sure if the portable seating will fit everyone either. Track will be 5 or 6 rows deep.

I think Raceland usually parks visitor buses next to the old gym,

but 7 buses will not fit there.

But Usually most schools do not bring 7 buses either.

I am sure the administration will find a place for the buses

that will accomadate everyone.

I think 7 may be a bit high. Most of the time there are 1 for the cheerleaders and 2 for the players. If the band travels then another for them.

My family and I will be tailgating before the game, everyone is welcome to stop and say hi, and eat what ever is left. We will be at a green Yukon Denali in front of the stadium.

Raceland should have russell park thier buses in the staff parking lot of the new high school. Then have the band, cheerleaders and players walk in behind the baseball field.

It is only a couple of miles....let em walk!!! :sssh::laugh:

 

Really now, are there people that are actually concerned about this and has anyone thought of a bus dropping their kids off and the coming back to pick them up?? After all it is not like it is a long distance. There are also a couple of churches very close that they may be able to drop the kids off at the school/stadium and then park there (chuch parking lots). I am sure that the chuches could be contacted to ask permission for this. Sounds like there would be a simple solution to me. I don't think that the bus issue will be a problem for the Raceland admin to fit in but if some do then maybe "drop them off" keep a couple of buses there and have the other ones come back.

There was several people involved and they may not want to be known, so I will not reveal any names. But Both AD's and both Coaches are involved, so that is a good start. Plus, most of both communities have been asking for this game for a long time.
