October 19, 200718 yr Oh well. It was fun while it lasted. I'm still happy with this team. I had no expectations for them to make the national championship game, anyway. It was fun watching everybody else squirm for a while, though. You could tell the Bulls had a little too much confidence. Coach Levitt was afraid of that. He said as much in his radio show. Way too many mistakes. 2 personal fouls on Gilliam alone. I'll be surprised if he even sees the field next week. The loss of Walker on the o-line is huge. UC will be here in a little over 2 weeks, I've got my 50 yard line tickets, and USF has that chip back on it's shoulder where it belongs. I can't wait. Of course, they still have to win next week at UConn. :sssh:
October 19, 200718 yr So, about USF/Rutgers. I've still yet to get the obsession with USF on this board...I promote the obsession and all of the members love me. Don't you understand that? :jump:
October 19, 200718 yr ^ SF must take more of that FL talent.. of they could go from good to bad quickly
October 19, 200718 yr ^ SF must take more of that FL talent.. of they could go from good to bad quickly Right on schedule. They landed 2 big ones last week after the UCF game. Can't remember their names right at the moment, though.
October 19, 200718 yr Good for them.... I would hate to recruit against Urban. It really helps SF that Miami nose dived.
October 19, 200718 yr I think that it's because in the minds of many on this board anyone who isn't in the $EC should never be considered as a national championship contender.
October 19, 200718 yr Good for them.... I would hate to recruit against Urban. It really helps SF that Miami nose dived.Jim Levitt has been doing OK against Urban. From what I hear, he recruits with the same passion you see on the sideline. He's built this program from nothing to this in 11 years. He has been building a foundation and the school is behind him. Every year they have been better than the year before. This ain't no flash in the pan. I have a feeling this isn't the last time you see the Bulls in the top 5 and a National Championship game could be closer than you think. :thumb:
October 19, 200718 yr USF is a nice team. Give them credit for beating Auburn and WVU, even though those two games were not the cleanest played. I think Rutgers is an average team. The Bulls let Rice go off. You contain Rice, you can easily beat Rutgers. Teel is terrible. Grothe taking the sack on first down was bad, then compounded by downing it with plenty of time to make it 3rd and 22. USF has to be kicking themselves a bit after this one.
October 19, 200718 yr So, about USF/Rutgers. I've still yet to get the obsession with USF on this board... That's what I've been preaching. I still think they will lose another and probably 2.
October 19, 200718 yr I honestly think that the call near the half was a bad call. The blocked kick by USF should have been a TD. At first I thought it was a forward pass but after watching the replay the ball was knocked loose IMO, not a foward pass. It is was a very close call though. #1 and #2 lost last week. Write it down! The Spartans will beat the Buckeyes Saturday
October 19, 200718 yr Is it just me or does Jim Levitt's facial expresions remind you of Bill Cowher? Without the spit of course. But really, I was watching the game and everytime the Bulls had a play that disgusted him, he had that Bill Cowher look.
October 19, 200718 yr Instant Replay over stepped the line last night in this game. When did they start using instant replay to catch penalties. Even though I think the call was correct. Part of the fun is the human element. So now do we check every play to catch all penalties?
