October 17, 200718 yr I've seen the occasional thread about favorite sports-themed movies. For those of us (a dying breed, maybe), that like to read, what's your favorite sports book? The reason I ask is that I'm currently reading a book by Pepper Rodgers called "Fourth and Long Gone", which is fiction but looks to be almost a parody of Alabama and Auburn football recruiting. Pretty entertaining. My favorite sports book of all, though, is "The Legend of Bagger Vance". Nothing else comes close; but that's just me. The Boys of Summer was good; I enjoy John Feinstein; and there are others I'm not remembering; but I'll read Bagger at least once a year. Golf in the Kingdom is pretty good, too.
