October 15, 200718 yr With the season the Cats are having will his name come up for any "big" coaching jobs. If so would he leave knowing all the weapons he is losing if lets say a michigan (which I dont think would ever happen) came calling?
October 15, 200718 yr No, he will retire as a CAT, he is too old to rebuild another program, esp. one like UM and others...
October 15, 200718 yr Author I agree his age changes things but the way college football has become it wouldnt really shock me.
October 15, 200718 yr He wants to coach five more years, at Kentucky, and then retire back to his home in Oregon.
October 15, 200718 yr Brooks will be at UK as long as he wants. The question now would be (IMO), either Joker Phillips or Randy Sanders as Head Coach will he does leave UK.
October 15, 200718 yr Brooks will be at UK as long as he wants. The question now would be (IMO), either Joker Phillips or Randy Sanders as Head Coach will he does leave UK. I'd have to say it would be tough to make Sanders the head coach when Joker is the O. Coordinator. I mean, Joker is essentially Sanders boss right now.

October 15, 200718 yr Nothing would surprise me...but I doubt any big name teams would try to lure Brooks away...they'd be looking for someone better (or at least perceived to be a better or hotter name on the coaching scene)...I expect Brooks to end his career at UK.
October 15, 200718 yr Even if someone came calling, mitch went out on a limb so I think Rich would repay him with loyalty, JMO.
