October 16, 200718 yr ^I wasn't referring to SC being a big time football school, I was just providing some info for outlaw coach.
October 16, 200718 yr Joker will stick around and wait for his chance to be the Head man at UK IMO I agree

October 16, 200718 yr You know what amazes me? The D-coordinator at UK. He has worked wonders for this team. I know several teams have scored on them but he has changed the mentality of the defense. Joker is great also
October 16, 200718 yr As much as I didnt think Rich could turn things around at UK. I have to admit he has done a nice job. I think retires at UK. Now the question is How succesful does he have to be next season? ( They lose: Woodson, Lyons, Steve Johnson, Burton, Tamme.....)
October 16, 200718 yr ^I wasn't referring to SC being a big time football school, I was just providing some info for outlaw coach. Thanks. I knew they were pretty close. I thought they were even closer than that. And I had forgotten about Holtz being hired in his 60's.
October 16, 200718 yr I wouldnt think that South Carolina is a BIG TIME college football school but I do get your point. My point is that Brooks wont get many offers from schools that are better than UK b/c of his age and/or rebuilding. I agree and I also think that a coach is fortunate to have the UK job. They pay very well, play in a big time conference, pay assistants well enabling a coach to hire a good staff, and the facilities at Kentucky are really second to none. Also, regardless of how the team is doing, there will be 60,000 plus every saturday. I just think UK is a good situation, especially for a coach like Brooks who is in the twilight of his career.
October 17, 200718 yr I think Brooks will retire a CAT, my biggest concern is Joker being lured somewhere. He undoubtedly bleeds blue, but money talks.
