Oh yeah,

And would a Bellevue faithful please answer my question.

What arguments are there to make someone think this game will be close?

They can't play at the same level as Beechwood, they are a typical 1A school, as is Dayton and Ludlow. They might of had a drive on The Tigers (BW), but that is it, a drive, 4 minutes of a 60 minute game, thats all they will give you. Come playoffs you will see 60 minutes of Beechwood, not a token half.

Wow the attacks on Bellevue are fascinating. First of all as fans of a program and as players you are supposed to think you can win. More than likely not but you have to think.'

SECONDLY those of you who are reading the Dayton over Covcath comment please read it in the context it was done. It was based on the coaches Top 10 poll that has Dayton ahead of CovCath. I questioned would that happen (that was a rhetorical question).

Stay on Beechwood vs. Bellevue. BTH, Dayton wouldn't even come close to CovCath. CovCath is way to fast for them.

This post was a little strong considering last time Beechwood played here I don't think Beechwood held them to one drive when the black and gold tigers won that game and at the time I believe the exact same things were being said.. :fire:

True, but Bellevue's field looked like the fire dpt. had been there all night. That was the major factor in the game, the muddy field. Beechwood did underestimate a talented Bellevue team, but there were some other factors involved.

Respectfully disagree. Not to rock the boat or anything but I think that Holy Cross was overrated the whole season after that win that NC fumbled away to them 5 or 6 times...

on this game... I think the Beechies roll...

And I will disagree with you back. I think they were not overrated at all in being one of the top teams in 1A, because they were one of the best in 1A. However they were overrated by how good the Holy Cross faithful was making them out to be. They made it seem like that no one could touch them, and that they were there to stay at the level of NCC and Beechwood, when it was not true because they were still a little lower than the level those two teams were at..

A few things that Bellevue team was 10 times better than this Bellevue team. That Beechwood team that year was 10 times worse than this Beechwood team. Honestly that was probably the worst Beechwood team in the last 17 years...So comparing this year, to that year is not even close...

I'm sorry, but if the black and gold tigers want to run with the red and white tigers, they need to be able to "wet" in the tall grass...... (you know... and not get any on their leg).

Beechies by... untill they feel that they are not supposed to score anymore. Hey, JMO.

I mean dont get me wrong I think Beechwood will win this game pretty handily.

When that is not true at all, each one of these teams in the past in certain years have shown not only can they play with Beechwood but also beat them. Yeah none of these 3 schools can do it on a consistent basis every year, because it is pretty much impossible to at these schools. They have kids who grow up playing in their youth football systems and then just to go on to play for a different school. That is pretty much the one thing I dont like about NKY football. Parents will send their kids to schools with who are "thought of" as one of the better football schools. Even though I would be willing to bet money that some of these smaller schools actually have better coaches than some of these bigger schools around here. Yet once you have earned your repitation of being a top football school, parents will send their kids there. So it is alot easier for schools like Beechwood, NCC, CovCath, Dixie, Highlands, etc. to be very successful every year, when they always have some of the best kids coming to their schools to play. These little river schools, got to hope that these kids stay together once they get to high school, and when they do you see a Ludlow, Bellevue or a Dayton put together a few really good years. However that just dont happen much, and that is why you dont see these programs stay at a high level all the time...

When you dont have to worry about kids parents taking their kids and sending them to other schools. Because if Beechwood had to deal with alot of the stuff these little schools had to deal with, they would be in the same position....

Crush..its comments like these that make people lose respect for programs such as yours.

And that all we can look forward to is a few drives here and there against your GREAT football team. As far as dreaming, it definitely is good for the soul and its what keeps those Bellevue kids coming out each year. They dream of state championships while the Beechwood kids just come to expect them year in and year out.

Nothing against running the table yearly and winning consecutive state championships and dominating because it is impressive. However, I get more joy out of seeing a small school like Bellevue, Dayton or Ludlow excelling maybe every 4-5 yrs and having the chance to knock off Beechwood and make it to State then seeing Beechwood run the table every year.

The special stories are the ones where you can say that you were a part of a team that had that one or two great years and advanced in the playoffs or made it to state or even won a state championship. Those IMO are a little bit more interesting than talking about a team that was a state champ one of the 4 or 5 consecutive years they won the championship. I dont remember anything special about those Beechwood teams in the 90's except that they dominated and won like 5 or 6 in a row. But I do remember the excellent team Dayton had in 96' with Skirvin or the Bellevue teams with Nate Berkley and Lincoln Adams. Just remember, to get respect you have to give respect and your comment IMO was sophomoric.

I don't usually agree with you Futurecoach because I am a Bellevue supporter. However you are right on the money with this one. What most people really take for granted is that the "little river schools" have a little community. Bellevue, Dayton and Ludlow are all about one mile square as far as their district goes and that limits the talent that you draw from. When compared to likes of Beechwood, NCC and others, the little river schools are at times severely outmanned. I would love to know how big an area some of the more prosperous schools draw from!

I can clearly remember when Beechwood had trouble beating these schools. Please remember that all Beechwood fans do not share the same viewpoints as others who post on here. Those who have been around this program for many yrs definetly respect these schools as I am sure they respect Beechwood.

Can't we all be a little more respectful in what we post on here. Everyone needs to go to the thread "A message to players" this is great for all to read. As I realize this is freedom of speech, to a point, I believe what we print on here should be able to be said to anothers face. It is my belief that most things posted would not be said to anothers face, so, don't post it.

Thanks for the respect.... It is sad to see how some people see these cities when they know nothing about them at all. I played at Dayton and I can say they have some of the most loyal fans in the area along with Bellevue and Ludlow. Even when a down year comes along and they lose to the other small schools the fans are still there week in and week out. Just look at the Dayton/Bellevue game that game was standing room only, it was insane! And just to note, I had the opportunity to play at an NCC or Highlands (like Future Coach said it happens all the time) and I turned it down to stay with my friends and I would never change that choice for anything, I'm glad I stayed. So to the rest of the people who really don't know these cities don't comment on them.

Very simple, this thread needs to get back to discussing the GAME, between Beechwood and Bellevue.

Enough of the negative/personal comments....
