Which One is Worse?

I think it is a cheerleader mom.

Wasn't there a conspiracy to commit murder case in Texas over cheerleading? Maybe it was actually a murder, I can't recall. I have not heard of this from football dads.

Dads will fight in a moments notice when Johnny isn't playing or getting the football enough, no doubt.

Have they ever made a movie about a youth football dad?

Take the world view of Futbol and you have "Kicking and Screaming.":D

In my experience, as a youth football coach, it is a combination of the two. Football mothers are way worse then football dads. In my coaching career, the fathers have, for the most part, been on my side and have seen things they way I do, former football players seem to understand. Football mothers on the other hand, do not generally understand what is being tought and there for do not understand why certain things are being done. For the most part, mothers only see that their son is not being treated the way they believe they should be treated.

I have to say that I do not understand some of the comments made in this thread. I have not had much trouble with parents, maybe I have been lucky. Most of the trouble I have had was associated with mothers not understanding the game, and after I explained the situation, most have rescinded their complaint. Of course some parents get mad because their son is not playing as much as they think he should, but all in all I have not had much trouble in the seven years I have coached.

As for the wrist band comment, by team has wrist bands. That is because when we play away games almost every team plays continuous clock at their fields. I found that, for the most part, if you could score twice and stop the other team once, you would win. So, I began using the wrist bands and running a no huddle offense so my team could get more plays in and I do not have trouble getting all by players in. At least we get to run more plays then the opposition. Plus, our jr high and hs run a no huddle offense, and my players are well versed and used to doing this, and receiving hand signals for formation changes and line calls.

I would have to go with YF Dad who is also the COACH...

Currently, the wife is cheerleading coach and I don't have a football player, yet. So, it's DEFINITELY cheerleading mom! Soon, it will be football mom. I usually give the coaches the benefit of the doubt, unless they maliciously hurt a child, whether it's my child or someone else's...

Agree with this one. Don't get me started on this...

This is why every year when you see the "NKYFL Prediction" thread I have a post: "Good lord"...
