October 9, 200718 yr I can definately see Woodson dropping off. Especially in the next 2 weeks. The honeymoon ended Thursday night. The cupcake teams are already beaten. Now for UK, the challenges are here. So far, not so good. Florida Atlantic gave USF all they wanted, ... Arkansas at Arkansas, .... UL when they were ranked and thought to be a national title contender. Cupcakes? I agree this is not just a challenge, it's a brutal stretch for ANY team, much less a team you despise. As far as Woodson, he will be fine. The 2 fumbles and 1 INT were costly, but his performance outside of that was not too bad, and that was against the #1 pass defense in the country. Much to your chagrin, ,,, Andre will be fine.

Now for UK, the challenges are here. So far, not so good. The honeymoon ended Thursday night? So now Woodson won't play as good as he has up until this point? I don't see how you see that. EKU and Kent State are not the best teams in the nation but every team doesn't play a insane schedule. FAU just gave USF all they could handle. UK will do good from here on out and they may surprise some people, and Woodson won't let them down.
October 10, 200718 yr I can definately see Woodson dropping off. Especially in the next 2 weeks. The honeymoon ended Thursday night. The cupcake teams are already beaten. Now for UK, the challenges are here. So far, not so good. I love the humor some people bring to this message board.
October 10, 200718 yr The first team that UK played that actually had a defense, Woodson played as bad as he has all year, having three TO's himself....Forgive me if I MIGHT think he could struggle the rest of the year against similar defenses....I thought it made sense. :creepy: Did he not play against those same schools last year...when all he did was have one of the best TD to INT ratios in the nation.
October 10, 200718 yr Did he not play against those same schools last year...when all he did was have one of the best TD to INT ratios in the nation. Really? Last year: LSU - 14/37, 151 yards, 1 int Florida - 26/37, 210 yards, 1 td Georgia - 23/32, 204 yards, 2 td, 2 int MSU - 19/28, 284 yards, 3 td, 1 int Vandy - 29/42, 450 yards, 4 td UT - 26/39, 282 yards, 1 td
October 10, 200718 yr It is clear that he feasted on the weaker teams...as the competition elevated he fell off. I don't expect that this season, but you shouldn't use last year as a measuring stick.
October 10, 200718 yr I think it's ridiculous to condemn the kid to the status of "overrated" after one game. It was an aberration as far as I'm concerned. Sure he didn't play well, but it was a high pressure game against an excellent pass defense. I know everyone expects a senior leader to play better in those situations, but that is the only thing I can criticize him for. I expect him to pick himself up and finish strong.

EKU and Kent State are not the best teams in the nation but every team doesn't play a insane schedule. FAU just gave USF all they could handle. UK will do good from here on out and they may surprise some people, and Woodson won't let them down. We'll see. The schedule just got to an insane level and so far Woodson isn't passing, or at least all that well.

His performance outside of that. What a statement!
October 10, 200718 yr Did he not play against those same schools last year...when all he did was have one of the best TD to INT ratios in the nation. Last year is over with. By the way, LSU blanked UK last year.
October 10, 200718 yr Really? October 10, 200718 yr Let's take a look at some more QB's from last year vs. elite competition... JaMarcus Russell @ Auburn - 20/35, 269 yds @ Florida - 24/41, 228 yds, 1 TD, 3 Int @ Tennessee - 24/36, 247 yds, 3 TD, 3 Int @ Arkansas - 14/22, 210 yds, 2 TD Or how about Brady Quinn's performance vs. LSU last year... 15/35, 148 yds, 2 TD, 2 Int Another news flash...QB stats usually dip when they play against elite defensive teams.
October 10, 200718 yr 63.7% Completion 263.5 ypg 11 TD, 4 Int Something seems clear... Again, let's look at the bulk of those numbers in that stretch
October 10, 200718 yr Again, let's look at the bulk of those numbers in that stretch And compare them with JaMarcus Russell and Brady Quinn against similar competition... Check....Mate?
October 10, 200718 yr His performance outside of that. What a statement! You anti UK bias is causing you to only focus on the negative. He will finish strong, mark it down, which means fewer posts from you. You were awfully silent when they were 5-0. :sssh: Even RP, who is not a UK fan, gives Andre and the Cats their props when he/they play well. You only seem to find the negative or you are silent.
