October 4, 200718 yr Man!!! She told me that story....that is truly pitiful...be glad I wasn't there...I would have knocked that into next week. Very classless!! I would have paid good money to see that! As it is I had to turn it around on him after his reaction to the onside kick.
October 4, 200718 yr Andre has come a very long way. I remember calling some of his games when he was at North Hardin where he was a raw "thrower," and thinking "this guy will never play at UK, let alone succeed." The QB coaches at UK deserve some love. :thumb: And he came into a situation that was 100X worse than what Brohm walked into. I don't think people talk about that enough when comparing the two. RP... obviously Heisman hype and team success are correlated in some regard. If UL was 5-0 and UK had two losses then Brohm would be getting more hype no doubt.
October 4, 200718 yr I think that is a very objective and honest post RM! I agree that without Woodson and Brohm both UK and UL aren't nearly as good as they are this season. No knock on either team, these are just 2 specials QB's and leaders. I hope Woodson wins it, ... but if he doesn't, my second choice would be Brohm because he is a KY boy! Let's just hope the Heisman comes to the state of KY for the first time!!! :thumb: Technically it has. Paul Hornung won it in 1956 @ Notre Dame & he's from Louisville (Flaget).
October 4, 200718 yr Technically it has. Paul Hornung won it in 1956 @ Notre Dame & he's from Louisville (Flaget). Very true. He was also one of the only players to ever win it on a team with a losing record (if memory serves).
October 4, 200718 yr h3eisman THat would be a heck of a campaign slogan for Woodson's run! Simple, but to the point.
October 4, 200718 yr THat would be a heck of a campaign slogan for Woodson's run! Simple, but to the point. Those shirts are ALL over down here.
October 4, 200718 yr You're surprised at this? Happens every year in the Heisman voting? Its screwed up. Not surprised....just aggravated when it's my boy .
October 5, 200718 yr Very true. He was also one of the only players to ever win it on a team with a losing record (if memory serves). The only one actually. :thumb:
October 5, 200718 yr Woodson has NO ability to throw long it appears, and did he even scramble once tonight, against a horrible run "D"??
October 5, 200718 yr Woodson has NO ability to throw long it appears, and did he even scramble once tonight, against a horrible run "D"?? How many time did you here tonight that there was nobody open downfield? He can throw the deep ball. He should have taken off and scrambled some though.
October 5, 200718 yr How many time did you here tonight that there was nobody open downfield? He can throw the deep ball. He should have taken off and scrambled some though. Most major college QB's can throw it deep, but can they get it near anyone?? I've not seen Woodson throw it deep with any accuracy against anyone decent?? He had multiple opportunities tonight to scramble and "make something out of nothing" but didn't--A Heisman hopeful should make those plays????
October 5, 200718 yr Woodson has NO ability to throw long it appears, and did he even scramble once tonight, against a horrible run "D"?? Did you just start watching him for the first time tonight? He throws an excellent deep ball. Hard to throw when they aren't open. He overthrew the one time that I saw anyone open. He had a bad night, but so did a few other Cats.

No--But this is the first decent "D" I've seen him throw against this season, and he was never close deep?? You gotta admit he throws mostly dink & dunk stuff--Has a big arm, but so did "Shake & Blake" and he couldn't throw it it in the ocean!!

Let's keep in mind the SC secondary is one of the best in the nation. Dre will be fine.
