UK vs. LSU and Florida on TV?

Featured Replies

By the way, does Borgman know you've hijacked his cartoon? I love that one, by the way. Jim is REALLY good (I know, my "duh" comment of the day).

I haven't talked to him today. Maybe you can let him know... :D

Yeah, HSSRB, how is ol' "Jim?"

As nice a guy as you'd ever meet. He'll autograph / sign anything you ask him for. Down to Earth. A super, super individual.

I would say CBS doesn't give a hoot about Keenland. What they are interested in is ratings.

That's not the issue. The debate is how much say does UK have in this? Any? None?

Who said CBS would care? My point was UK cares and they may have asked CBS to choose another game that week for the 3:30 slot.

Regardless, the game is at 3:30 next Saturday (and at this point, I'll just say the following week very well could be as well).

GT, gulp, sorry I doubted you. I'll say this though, it wasn't for a lack of trying. :D :thumb:

It'll be 10 or 15 minutes. Conference call...

I heard today that there was a chance that the game would be pushed back later than advertised. While it appears that my contact may not be as good as h.s.sportsrbest, he is pretty close. Not saying its gonna happen, but you might see a night game before its over.

Until I hear it from the horse's mouth, consider yourself doubted. :sssh:

What is on UK's schedule page means nothing as that thing has changes to it's time column all of the time. I can't remember the last time UK played opposite Keeneland live racing.

It has happened before, not that long ago actually. The Alabama game on 10/9/04 was picked up as the game of the week by Jefferson Pilot and kickoff was moved to 12:30 pm. Considering the benefit from a recruiting standpoint of having a nationally televised game against the no. 1 team in the country, UK would be crazy to turn it down. I'm not even sure they would have the option to turn it down. CBS pays big bucks to televise SEC games....my guess is they dictate what game to show and what time to show it.

Keeneland runs every October.....these kind of seasons don't come along very often for UK football.

The word I got today is that UK really doesn't have awhole lot of a say in the matter.

Any word if Gameday will be there???

It's a CBS broadcast so no...

Not necessarily. Gameday will be in Baton Rouge for UF/LSU this weekend and that game is on CBS.

Cross your fingers.......
