Two of us were up there this morning painting the Highlands in the south endzone and guess what - it started raining buckets as we finished the 2nd "h" in HIGHLANDS. Did not have the heart to look behind us to see if the paint faded during the rain fall.

Sounds like a curse. Hmm...

Is the big Jeff Ruby's sign still on the school or has that been down for a few years?

Back to the improvements. The one thing that seemed odd or out of place is that the "HIGHLANDS" in the end zone by the lockerrooms needs a fresh coat of paint. The rest were bright but it was faded.

 

I've always said that HHS has one of the best environments for high school football. I love the stands being tall and right on top of the field. I love the school surrounding 2 sides. Nice and intimate.

 

Whew! I did the "A" in that end zone, so I'm safe.

'HIGHLANDS' on Saturday looked a lot better than 'IGHLANDS' did on Thursday...:lol:

What about the P.A. System? People interested in listening to the game calls cannot hear while sitting in the stands. Anything on the "clip board" to improve that system?

It is really nice that Highlands is able to have all those the resources they have up there including a great field and what not. I just wish some would not make fun and come up with excuses when playing other teams that have field issues.

Actually it is the community that has provided the field, lights, clean ups, spruce ups, and painting where needed. I'm sure if you really wanted all the complaining to cease about your field, you would get your community together and do something about it.:thumb:

Told by a reliable source today- one of the electricians, the lights will be ready for Jr. League Football this evening - :dancingpa

 

The bright light in the northern sky will be Cecil Memorial Stadium. I will apologize in advance if you southerners loose satelite or cable coverage this evening - we had to find new resouces for our electricity needs!
