Kind of a wreckless statement isn't it? There is only one sign that I know of that had to come down for the school renovation. I am confident that something will be worked out with the sponsor by the time the renovation is completed. Not sure of any other signs that were removed during the renovation.

I heard it at a tailgate Friday night and simply amazes me that the normal person who shouldn't have that kind of false information would be passing it along to a fellow Bluebird. What was said at the tailgate was bogus. What i am posting is Fact. I for once in my life am finally not fighting a losing battle. I cannot disclose details on this situation hoping that the Corporate sponsors get a courtesy call from the Great minds involved to try to work out this mess.

There are currently two issues with signs that I am aware of. The one sign needs to go back up on the building and I know that is currenlty being worked on. Unfortunately it has not been an easy task and I am sure those of you that have been involved in the last few weeks of renovations know what I am talking about. Somehow this all needs to be worked out and hopefully it can be before the playoffs start. It may even invlove a number of volunteers once again getting together to get it accomplished, however if that is what it takes I am confident that we can get a group together to make it happen. The other sign was was nothing more than a misunderstanding and plans are already in place to correct the issue. I will tell you that both sponsors have been more than cooperative and understanding and we all appreciate their continued support of our athletic teams at Highlands.

Blueduck, I'm personally involved in this situation. There is one sign in issue; the other issue is a simple matter of getting it reinstalled (it had to come down due to the renovation). The school was ready to reinstall it during the summer, but the possibility of an electric screen was being explored and the thought was that if it happened, instead of the signs, they'd get advertising on the screen.

 

As for the sign "in issue", the owner of the business told me some time ago that he was not interested in making future payments (which means the sign comes down). He subsequently told some one else something different. It's not a big deal, just a little lack of communication. Heck I spoke to the owner of the business and he was fine with the situation, so I don't' know what the big deal is. No reason to stir up stink when its not necessary. Then again, there are some people that seem to enjoy stirring the pot. Hope you're not one of those types. And if you listen to what it said at tailgates, you might want to start getting your info from better sources. Over the years, I've heard so much silliness at tailgate parties, it pitiful.
