Senior dominated, three recievers starting for 3 years, 3 players running a 4.5, 3 more under 4.7, and not to mention the bermuda triangle which you have probably heard of. Bellvue is fairly young on the perimeter while Dayton starts nothing but seniors.

Bellevue is just as skilled as Dayton's skilled players. Chris Weber, Thomas Barret, Ricky Buckler, Derek Bryan, Roger Babb, and Mike Hatch are all surely just as fast and as skilled as Dayton's and most likely more phsyical because of the style of defense Bellevue plays. The first three names are about the 4.4, 4.5 range and the second three are under 4.7 as well. Looks like another draw so like I've said many times this game will be very close and come down to the end. Good luck Bellevue!!!! :thumb:

Has anybody seen the paddle yet? How does it look?

Has anybody seen the paddle yet? How does it look?

I havent seen it but it was on display down at Dayton school for a few days and they said it exceeded expectations. Two sides of it, one black/yellow, the other green/white. I think it is somewhere around 4ft long or so, but it will be on display at the game I'm pretty sure.

Just went through 306 photos of the Dayton vs Beechwood game, heres what I saw. Number 75, out of position and being dominated by #56, big boy yes, Div 1, I doubt it. Number 56 is a true Div 1 prospect, not just letters, real interest. Your #67 didnt show up as much, every time I saw him he was away friom the play or being manhandled by Beechwoods #26 and #52, by the way another true Div 1 prospect, coach visits and all that good stuff. These guys cant play with the real thing. So be happy that you have a good record but dont make the players something that they are not. Photos at timburnsphoto.com

67 is away from the play because he blocks his man so well they dont get a chance to go down field. I dont see 75 getting what i would call domination.

Nobody on that team runs a 4.4, not many teams in the state have that speed. Chris Young and Richard Turner are fast, and real hard to tackle in open feild or close up. You cant forget about Dustin Trimnell or Joe Wynn, Joe is a great speed back and Dustin has showed his skills on the field. Alex Brummett and Micheal Richardson have plenty of power and decent speed. :ylsuper:

I have seen the paddle and I'll just say that the guy that made it (Pelgen, I think) did a great job and once it is on display for all to see..everyone will be impressed with the craftsmenship:ylsuper:

It will soon be compared to the keg of nails, the governors cup, and any other quality traveling trophy

Bellevue does not have a shop class, but he is the P.E. teacher, and yes the paddle is very nice.

Does anyone know where the paddle will be placed during the game?

I like Dayton in a close one.

Dayton will win this game easily.

Two top 10 class A schools (first time you can say that about this game in a long time). Bellevue comes in ranked #6 in the 1A state AP poll and Dayton ranked #9. But its a rivalry so throw out the records, stats, win/loss record, everything... This should be a very tight game, i see it coming down to the last possesion. Missed PAT by Dayton at the end lol.

Dayton- 20

Bellevue- 21

^^ This is what I don't get about the ranking systems. Dayton is below Bellvue in the AP poll, but ahead of them in the coaches poll, and in the class 1 A poll on BGP. It's very confusing with all of the different polls.

Man, the talk is getting deep on this one and that's okay, despite that both have blowout losses.

What matters is the Paddle, bragging rights for the next 5 weeks or 40 years depending on how the playoffs go, a record crowd (plenty of room on the grass hillsides, just bring cleates to dig in), home field advantage down the road, avoiding Beechwood in the first round, and whether the Band(s) play at the correct times!!!

Dont think that will happen on either side :fire:

Got to go with Coach E in this one!!!
