What was the deal with Glaser and the umbrella? Was he auditioning for Mary Poppins II? I thought that was pretty stupid.... talk about not letting go of the past. Coach... let go of the "L" from last year and enjoy your 2007 "W". P.S. Umbrellas are not allowed in PJCS. That is not a good example to show your team.

 

I don't mind if X beats Trinity because they play a better game, that's football. But why does Glaser ALWAYS have to show his butt and act like a juvenile?

Congratulations to both squads. Stating the obvious, X achieved a win under a lot of adversity, playing the second half and a portion of the first with a backup QB. T did shoot themselves in the foot all night with a variety of penalties. Both teams should meet again.

Glaser and Beatty have been lambasted here for speaking what each believed to be true: Glaser that X has to rougher path to the finals (Male and a dangerous Manual), and Beatty that Louisville X did not have the best defense Trinity has faced.

 

Several have tendered areas of improvement for Trinity. How and where can X improve for the anticipated rematch?

Last night St. X was the team with the most points at the end of the game, so at least for today they are the best team in the state. But from everything I have read today on BGP and the Lexington Herald newspaper, Trinity had more total yards 346-278, more first downs 19-9, more passing yards 207-44 and many more penalty yards 98-33 and X just won by a score of 24-15. It may me a short lived party for the Tigers.:dancingpa

 

 

Penalties and mistakes are a part of football. If you get out played and make more mistakes and commit more penalties you will lose. Most of the sacks imo were coverage sacks. That means the X db's were containing the Trinity wr's allowing Carpenter and friends to run wild in Trinity's backfield.

Everything everyone on here has said already pretty much sums up what I was thinking. I do agree X had the better team last night, but T definatly made way too many mistakes to win the game. T beat themselves more then X beat T.

The brooms were out because St.X swept Trinity in the freshman, JV, and now Varsity games. The umbrella was out because there wasn't any rain or lighting in the sky to help the Shamrocks pull out the win this year.

The broom is representing the sweep. The Tigers beat Trinity's Freshman, JV, and now Varsity teams. Not to mention the Varsity Soccer game too.

 

The umbrellea is a spoof on last years rain-out game.

I agreee. A coach should be above that kind of silly stuff.

Boy, knowing that these two teams will likely be playing again this year, and given how talented Trinity is, I'd say the X coach just gave T a heckuva lot more motivation for the rematch. I predict a 20+ point T win in the rematch. Way to go coach....
