I don't think anyone said that they would not be the district Champs, they just said crowning them now might not be good timing. It does appear that they are the best team in the district though.

I agree with Apex, they are the best team, if they lose, one of those games, alot of people should be upset! Getting out of that district last year, has to help, I mean Madison Central, and GRC are the real deal, and unfortunitly we know what that meant for Whitley!

You don't crown a district champ until the 2nd round of the playoffs.

I assure you that fact has not gone un-noticed. However, they still have some games to play so :sssh: crowning them might be a bit premature.

I did not crown them at all, ... just addressing the post that called the Whitley vs Clay game being for the district title. I just stated a fact that they had yet to lose a district game, and with only one to go, .. the worst they probably get is the #2 seed.

Whitley Co. 38-6.

The small town rumour mill is flying today....did a player at Whitley get suspended? If true it may hurt the Colonels Chances. I won't say what the rumour is as I do not want to name names or continue gossip, just wondering if it is true.

If Whitley continues to improve,(they are no where near peaking) they could have a chance to get well into the playoffs.

PCC 13

Whitley should make it to the third round of the playoffs...........but the competition would jump significantly then.

This game could be closer than many expect.

Whitley 35 Perry Central 20

I may be the only person outside of Perry County to see the game this way.....

I think Perrry is going to win. I think it will be close but all the factors are there for Whitley to lose this game.

I think that the week off hurt them, I bet that they did not practice hard, more than likely taking it easy to get their health back and coasting through practices.

I think they will be distracted by the long road trip and not focused and not ready to play.

I think that they may be happy with being 2-2, after the year that they had last year, I could see how some of those kids would be happy not be getting their ears beat in every week.

And that is why I see a Perry Victory on Friday.

Yes, a player has been suspended and that is all that will be discussed.

If anyone else brings it up you will be suspended.

Trust me Coach Black didn't let their week off be an easy practice week. I don't know for sure what they did in practice, but I am positive Coach Black used that extra week to get 3 or 4 more practices in to gear up for what I'm sure Whitley is looking at as one of their biggest games of the year.

PCC can score points, they just can't stop anyone! Should be a high scoring game, I think PCC comes out on top in this big district game at home, 38-34.
