It all depends on what they do the rest of the year IMO. Undefeated beating WVU etc then some heat will be off especially with a bowl win. I don't see it happening though.

I say they fire him now and hire that head coach in the movie "Varsity Blues."

Louisville still has a good football team. Their defense is sorely lacking. Don't know if it is not being disciplined or they are not as talented on that side of the ball as they have been for the last two years.

Everything will be OK in the 'Ville....my biggest regret in this off season is being naive and thinking that this coaching transition could go off without fail.....when Bobby Petrino took over for John L....it was a coach from the same mold....this guy is from the outside, and I should've seen just how much CHANGE there is that needs to be overcome....all in all, I am comfortable with this staff, minus Charlie Stubbs....I think the OC needs to park is rear end in the box...and I actually feel that jeff needs to be the OC....the defense will come in time....maybe this season, maybe not....

How many coaches remain from Petrino's staff?

Why is this defense this bad though? I mean ALOT of you all were talking about how this defense was going to be one of the best defenses Louisville has had, and it has been the complete opposite and has been one of the worst they have ever had...

3 I think...maybe 4...

Brohm, Cassitym and Nord I am sure of....the special teams coach lives 4-5 houses up the street from me here....nice guy, was in a great mood yesterday, probably not tomorrow..

That's really the million dollar question. The horses are indeed there...they are talented athletes, maybe they aren't cerebral enough to be playing this level of football, it is also obvious they certainly don't know how to communicate on the field whatsoever....but the one that kills me is their lack of wrapping up, especially because you don't have to be talented to do that.

I voted other. As in this is way to early for this question. These are not his guys, and there is a lot that is wrong with this team. At least give him a year with his own recruits before you judge him.

I was privvy to a conversation with a former UL coach years ago and he said that one of the biggest issues with UL this year is discipline.

Petrino was a drill seargent and on the players butts on and off the field.

Kragthorpe has come in and is the proverbial "players coach" and their attention to detail has slipped greatly, particularly on defense.

UL's secondary, particularly their safety's are playing terribly. Every game their safety's have gotten suckered on routes and play action, or just plain making terrible reads.

UL fans PLEASE tell me how this D is any better under Petrino?????

This offense is no different except the MIA running game due to all the big time local backs being gone.

Right after the Wake game... UL was the Titanic and they have officially hit the North Atlantic.

Mark it down. No bowl appearance for the Cards this year.
