Buy Or Sell?

Featured Replies

1-A Pikeville: I'm just not sold on Pikeville this year. Everyone keeps saying they're better than the team I keep touting in 1A (Frankfort), but we'll have to wait and see. SELL.
Pikeville has a better chance to get to the carpet than Frankfort, because Beechwood and Mayfield are in the wester bracket.

4-A Lone Oak: They'll probably run into Bell County before they reach the carpet. SELL.
No. If they run into Bell County, it will be on the carpet.

In honor of Pardon the Interruption.

Tell me whether you "Buy" or "Sell" each team's chances of making the state finals. Please provide reasoning if you choose.

Pikeville- BUY- Outside of Raceland no other team in the east is of quality in class A. LCA is a good team but Pikeville would still win. The west is where the heavy weights are.

Trigg - SELL- Bardstown , Danville no need to say anything else.

Breathitt -SELL- To many unknowns.

Lone Oak- ??? I dont know anything about them

Johnson Central - SELL Not enough Speed or Athletes.

Layfayette- Sell - Cant beat TRINITY

I thought "Buy or Sell" was on 'Around The Horn'...

HAHA... yeah you are right.. you can tell someone doesn't get to see ESPN's evening programming anymore.

I only know Lafayette teams. They're last years Henry CLay as in they're the only team in Lexington that can compete with the L'ville teams this year. Al depends on play calling. Im buying.

1A

Pikeville-Sell, several good teams stand in there way including Lynn Camp, Williamsburg, Cumberland, and Evarts. Most notably though the biggest thing standing in Pikeville's way would be Lexington Christian. They are my pick right now to win 1A.

Pikeville would beat the Lynn Camp-W'burg-Cumberland-Evarts all-star team by 3 scores. Hazard would as well. Don't know about Lexington Christian yet, until they play somebody.

You are mistaken!

6A Lafayette.......Sell.........So what if they go 9-1 or 10-0 against a soft schedule, and they beat Henry Clay during the regular season?

They have been bounced the last three seasons in the 1st round by Madison Central (04), South Laurel (05), and Woodford County (06) and all were not close games....until they can win a playoff game, I don't see how anyone could buy Harmon's team to do anything in the playoffs.

Come on there Big Bear...you need to get something fresh instead of the schedule excuse. As for Harmon, I will put him against any coach in the state and I mean that. This is a guy who is building a program from the ground up...and is obviously succeeding at what he does. And yes, they did go 10-0 in the regular season. Thanks for reminding me!

Buy or Sell Boyle County winning more than 3 games and making it past the second round of the playoffs?

That is a mighty confident statement, even if they could beat each team individually an all star team I would think would stand a pretty good chance against Pikeville. Will be interesting to see how it plays out though because it looks like Pikeville will have to get through LCA and Hazard will have to get through Evarts, Cumberland, Lynn Camp or Williamsburg, to get to each other.

OK. Didn't know either of those points. My bad.
