Go check the ESPN football page as boonedock suggested. Not a single mention on the sports home page from the "World Wide Leader". It's so huge it's not listed...

Been plastered all over all the ESPN channels...beating #9 is huge in all 50 states....shoot, "World Wide"...:ylsuper:

Yet you can't see the forest for the trees...:p HUUUUGEEE win for the program, huge for recruiting, huge in every way huge can be defined...;)

Can I get the rest of the names to see the impact when it all plays out???

You being facetious or serious?

Check the UK rivals page and the scout page...

If you need names I will work on it.

It is on the ESPN frontpage. And it was the game featured 2nd during all of the highlights. There probably would have been more people watching it during Labor Day weekend but answer me this: What is the normal share for the game during Labor Day Weekend? Now out the the difference between the number of people that watched the game last year vs. last night how many do you think were actual recruits that would not have been interested in either program before but would develop an interest just because the game was on television? I seriously doubt that any recruits would have suddenly develped an acute interest in playing for UK (at least that weren't already interested) just because they watched the UK-UL game on Sunday night on ESPN instead of seeing the highlights or catching it on Classic on Saturday. You're grossly overestimating what the date of the game meant. The fact that UK won the game will go much further to aid recruiting than being on TV.

Great game to watch and was really pleased with the outcome of the game.

No way...:sssh:

It's not about who isn't already interested. For example every UC recruit I talked to said they watched the Oregon State game on ESPN. At this stage the 08 class is watching who has been in contact. The simple fact is UK beat #9 in the land on ESPN Classic. Do you really think everyone on the list has it? It was a HUGE win for UK, but there could have been a much bigger impact. Simple as that. No more no less. Not seeing it is sticking your head in the sand...

Once again, you people are acting like one of us has said that the win isn't huge because it was played yesterday. It was HUGE in every way possible for UK and you're being defensive for no reason. If UK had won on the first weekend, it would have added all kinds of national exposure to an already huge win, end of story.

If you need names I will work on it.

I don't need them, but would like to have them. I know the value of up to date flashes on Scout and Rivals. That's why I don't write them... :D

I'd check again.

It was on the front page all afternoon in the group of stories under the lead. You know the ones that change every few seconds from MLB to NCAA to Chase for the Cup and have pictures with thumnail descriptions. It has since been moved to the front page of the college football section under the Spotlight tab that changes between Trojan/Gators, Forde, Howard's Rock etc. It was on the front page all afternoon however.

More people would have seen the game if it would have been on regular ESPN or ESPN2. Not everybody has satellite so that means not everybody has ESPN Classic which means not as many people got to watch the game.

I don't think we could agree more on this one.

So you really think that an interested recruit would sign with someone else just because he didn't get to see the UK/UL game on ESPN and didn't have ESPN Classic? If that is the case I don't think UK would have had a shot at them anyway and like I said I can't see a recruit seeing the game and suddenly calling up Brooks and asking to visit.
